There is a huge "antique" store near me called The Brass Armadillo. I've thought about going but I generally find antique stores to be useless, lol. Well today I was reading somewhere that it's really more of a giant flea market and I was like "Okay maybe I can give it a try then!"

I was hoping that, as big as this place is, there would at least be a few booths with MLP stuff. Sadly, I did not find much but I did find Valenshy for $2.50! She has a bit of rubbing on her cutie mark and heart hoof, but she's in good condition otherwise. (Her hair needs brushing but I love that part lol)

The same vendor had a Ponyville Fancy Fashions Boutique, but no pony with it. Another vendor had what she called a My Pretty Pony, but I think it was a fakie. I may take another look as my boyfriend wants to go back there tonight (haha!)

My Pretty Pony is the predecessor to MLP! Image search My Pretty Pony and if that's what that lady had then it's a vintage 80s My Pretty Pony. They were released in brown and also pink and white. But I believe there are fakies that go by my pretty pony as well; look at some pics; if she's the real deal buy it her if you can! And congrats on Valenshy too! :)
 
Yeah, everything I've seen of My Pretty Pony looks nothing like this woman's pony. It said Hasbro on the stomach, but it was like "manufactured by Hasbro" for another company. Like I said, I am going back tonight, so I might try to sneak a picture to reference.
 
So, there is one local thrift store where I have gotten most of my ponies. I am pretty sure they have a horde of ponies in the back and just put out a few at a time because EVERY TIME I GO THERE ARE DIFFERENT PONIES!!! Last time I was sad because both ponies I found were G3.5.

Today, I found a G1 Stardancer in GREAT condition!! She has the slightest of wear on her cutie mark and her hair is a tiny bit frizzed at the ends but otherwise she is perfect. None of the G3's I've found there have been this good.

Ah the Brass Armadillo, I love it, but it's been very dry of any G1s the past couple years.
 
Wa-hoo, Stardancer! That's one of my faves (top 30-ish :p), I love her colors. :biggrin: Lucky you! Valenshy looks sweet too.

I wanna go to my local thrift shops now. Maybe your luck will rub off on us pony hunters?
 
I've cleaned out my local thrift stores, they haven't had any more ponies since I bought them all lol...I've been waiting for more. I love getting so many of them for 50 cents to a $1.50 each! So cheap and there's usually 2 or more per bag.

Yes, actually... Unique, the store where I got Stardancer, generally has 2 ponies in a bag with various other toys (most of which I end up trashing but I got a Ninja Turtle for my boyfriend in one), for about $2. Stardancer's the first one I've seen on her own (she was at 99 cents though), although she did have a weird polar bear-elephant hybrid toy in the bag with her.

Yeah I've got some extra stuff too, and TONS of baby toys in one bag when all I wanted was Jazz Matazz, so I donated the baby toys and any other extra toys I get that I don't want to keep.
 
Congrats! Your ponies look great! I love a bargain....especially a pony for a bargain!!

Yep, that'd be Napper. She came with Purple hair in the stores and green hair mail order, so technically 2 of her.

And there is Baby Gusty sparkle pony who is yellow with curly magentaish hair :)

New Haul!

Another great haul this evening, from the thrift store that has been the source of about 75% of my collection!! (I SWEAR they have a big horde of ponies in the back and put out new ones a few days after I go through and buy their stock, naughty thrift store!) For a grand total of $7.15 I got:
McDonalds 2008 Scootaloo (which is funny because I just traded mine off last week)
Beachberry
Gem Blossom
Lavender Locket
Pinkie Pie VI
Skedoodle
Toola-Roola II (2009 "Core Friend" version)

Pictures tomorrow after they've had their hair brushed!! :)
