G4 Who is your favorite and least favorite mane 6 pony and why?

I was wondering what everyone's favorite and least favorite mane pony from the the G4 show and why?

My favorite pony is Rarity. I know a lot of people don't like her because she seems whiny and narcissistic. I personally find her very charismatic and selfless. Granted she is incredibly self-centered but despite that she often sets aside her own wants for others. She goes out of her way to make others feel good about themselves. I also think she has a lot of personality. She's very sassy, opinionated, and knows what she wants in life. I really enjoy that about her character. She's been shown to stand behind her beliefs and stick with them. I also adore her attitude in the the episode about the Diamond Dogs:


She may be a damsel but she knows how to take control of any situation :ponylove:

My least favorite pony is Pinkie Pie. I personally don't like her because she comes on a bit to strong for me. I l-o-v-e G3 Pinkie Pie. I thought she was cute, silly, and sweet. G4 Pinkie Pie is just to abrasive compared to her. Now I know I shouldn't compare the two however even without thinking about G3, Pinkie Pie honestly gets on my nerves. She's just a bit to in-your-face. She's always in someone's business and has to be the center of the show. I also find some of her forth wall breaks a bit to forced. I think the particular episodes that put me off of her was the one where she was chasing Apple Jack after she didn't bring home the blue ribbon. The other was when she was bullying Fluttershy in Filli Vanilli. In her defense Pinkie does have some cute and funny moments. I really like her relationship with Maud but for the most part this little pony does not rock my world.

I also want to say let's all be respectful. Please no saying a pony is 'stupid' or 'ugly'. Please be polite and respect others opinions. :smile:

You don't have to worry about that around here... everyone is always nice and friendly.

I would say my favorite is........ ack! Too hard, tie between Fluttershy and Rarity. My least favorite would be Apple Jack, I think her over the top country girl stuff is cheesy and annoying.

I've noticed. I've never been in such a friendly community before. =) I guess I'm just always a little worried because whenever I ask a question like this fights seem to start. I wouldn't want to cause a pony war :lolpony:
 
@Moondream you won't be causing a war.

Myself, I have been under a rock for a few years and know very little about the G4 line, so I am looking forward to reading everyones replies about the new characters, ( or old ones that have been redone for the new Generation :)

It's a toss up between Fluttershy and Applejack for my favorite. One loves the animals and the other is a down to earth hard worker. If they adopted and raised a baby pony together, it would be perfect! Pinkie Pie is my least favorite. She is just waaaaay over the top loud and ridiculous for me. I just wish she would turn it down a notch sometimes.
 
Rarity is my favourite. For one, I love white ponies, and I love purple, so aesthetically I was immediately drawn to her. I love her personality and that her flaws (drama queen, oblivious, finicky, narcissistic and materialistic) are balanced by her helpfulness and generosity, her maturity, charisma and determination. She is extremely creative and artistic but she doesn't sit back on her talents. She's headstrong, she has direction in her life, she has goals that she wants to achieve and she works hard to achieve them. But she will also go out of her way to make others happy by doing nice things for them, or to help them out when they need it, even if it means putting aside what she wants and potentially leaving herself at a disadvantage by doing so. I want to be more like her in a lot of ways (being that pretty would also be great). And I can sympathize a lot with the dirt/mess phobia she has, because I have OCD.

I like Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie second (though she can be over the top, tactless and a bit irritating at times, she is genuinely sweet through and through). I used to hate Twilight in the earlier seasons, but she's developed and matured a lot, so I don't mind her that much anymore.

On the other hand, I dislike Rainbow Dash. I don't like her brash, tomboyish personality, her arrogance and egotism, her attitude or her obsession with always being or having the best in everything. She thinks she's better than others, and that she deserves something for just showing up. She has lowered her standards and been taught humility on a few occasions, but that hasn't changed the way she is. Though she does have a few redeeming qualities, like her loyalty, the fact that she loves reading (which initially was another thing she felt she was too good for), and that she actually has characters that she looks up to and aspires to be, those things don't really balance out the negative in her personality. I don't like the way she looks either, though my best friend loves her because she "looks like a gay pride pony". :p
 
Twilight fangirl over here. She's so much like a pony version of me that it's scary. I've always been the introverted bookworm that had problems meeting new people. Her part in "You'll Play Your Part" speaks so much to me. I know from personal experience how depressing it is to not know what your purpose in life is and where you belong. And I can totally see myself shouting, "This is my book! And I'm gonna READ IT!" I still giggle whenever I hear that line.

As to my least favorite, that would most definitely be Pinkie Pie. She's just so annoying. I especially didn't like her in "Luna Eclipsed" and "Fili Vanilli." I just find her incredibly obnoxious.
 
Applejack and the Apple Family are my favorites! Not sure why, but I love Applejack's sassy country girl attitude. I think people usually like the pony they can relate to, but in real life I couldn't be more different from her:D My least favorite is Rainbow Dash. Soooo arrogant and annoying, I can't remember a single episode I've actually liked her in! Also I dislike Rarity, but honestly I think it's because her personality is very similar to mine, and that's not necessarily a good thing:rolleyes:
 
two of my least favs are applejack and rainbow,rainbow can be abit too arrogant for my taste and applejack is just bland,I do love g3 rainbow dash tho "rainbows dahlings"and it's a tie between flutters and pinkie, as my best pony with rarity as a close second :winkpony:
 
I find it very, very difficult to pinpoint a favourite. I'm usually torn between Rarity and Twilight Sparkle. I relate very well to both. Personality-wise, I am a combination of the two of them. I'm also in a pursuit of knowledge like Twilight. And both are purple, one of my favourite colours!

I really like season 1 Pinkie, but I can not stand her in season 4. She used to be caring, and aware of others' feelings, but now they've written her as this mean little pony that seems to have no regard for her friends' feelings.
 
For my fave it would be a toss up between Twilight and Fluttershy, probably because I'm the most like them. I can't really say that I have a least favourite - there's something I like about all of them. When I first started watching I was a bit on the fence about Rarity, but then when I saw the Diamond Dogs episode I fell completely in love with her.
