When you tally up your pony collection, do you count:::

The baby pony friends as ponies? You know, such as Kingsley, Zig Zag, etc? I am wondering what all of you think. I know Petites, Little Litters and Dream Beauties are their own line, so they kinda don't count, but the baby pony friends were part of the main line, though they aren't exactly ponies. So do you count them as MLP's when you count your collection?
 
I only have two, and I don't count them as part of the pony collection.
 
When I count my ponys, I count the ponyfriends as a part of the herd. I wouldn´t count Dream Beauties, Plushies and Petites.

I forgot to mention I do count them and dream beauties as ponies :D I used to debate whether to count petites, and I decided I do, as they are diff ponies like the Dream Beauties are, but I don't count the plushies, Lil Litters and Mommy Charms.

Well I only have one so far, Wooly, but I do count her as a pony. So Id say yes I do count them. :)
 
I was wondering the same thing, lol. I could never decide whether to or not. (currently not)
 
I count everything that is on my want list. So, since my want list includes the pony friends and dream beauties, I count them.

My list doesn't include petites or pets, so while I have them, I don't count them.

On a similar note, I'm currently trying to decide if I should count my MOC pony wear and pretty-ups as if they are ponies for my MOC total. I guess it's probably the same thing, some people may and some people may not. :)
 
anything that isn't a pony gets put into the buddies count lol
 
I don't collect them and I only have have Spike right now in my collection, so I wouldn't count them, no.
 
I count all pony friends, but I don't count ones like Twinkles, Brandy, Spike, etc.
 
I count them, but only beacuse the Baby pony friends acually CAME with them and I believe the other Pony Friends also were specificly sold as MLP's so that's why...
 
It depends on how the question is phrased. If someone askes how many ponies do you have I count only the ponies, friends, and dream beauties. I do not count plushies, petites, pretty pony, dupicates, accessories (like spike, twinkles, etc.)or customs. If you ask me how big my collection is, I count everything. :wink:

Now with that being said, when counting my entire collection I don't count, Dream Beauties, Spike and other pets, Doubles (ones in my collection), Varients, pony wear, loose accessories, buildings, petites, mommy charms, G2's, G3's, plush, ceramics, books, pamplets, or sea ponies. I only count anything that the average person would take a look at and go, that's a My Little Pony. A brushable mane AND tail, and the typical body mold, = a my little pony to my collection. Some things like my G2's and G3's I've never keep A Tally of.


I don't even want to think the numbers if I counted all the things I don't include........

*gasps* at the thought of sea ponies not being real ponies! :lol: j/k. I know that some people don't count them, but it always surprises me even still. But why do you count the pony friends and not sea ponies? None of my business, I'm just curious by the logic. It's always fun to me to see the differences in the way people view their collections. :)

i don't count friends, just ponies, but I haven't been counting lately, lolz.
 
I don't count friends, plushes, doubles, dream beauties, petites, baits or any of those...maybe if I did it make my collection count sky rocket...lol
 
I count ponies, sea ponies, dream beauties and friends (cha cha, Kingsley ect...)
After tallying that up I make a list of how many G2's, G3's, plushes, petites, pets, mommy charms, dolls & Spike, shells and floats. But I don't add them all up, I keep them in their own categories.

I'm another one that never counted sea ponies. If you can't stand on your own feet, you weren't counted. Also didn't count petites, doubles or friends. Or pals. Different country variants I count, like Hong Kong versus China and so on.
