Hiya everyone! I just wanted to ask if anyone knew whats up with my cherries jubilee.
She is faded, but I don't think this is what fading would do to a pony.
She has a greenish tinge to certain parts of her body, for example, the middle of the bottom her hooves, her ears. It seems it's something going on inside. She has small black spots on the neck ring (I haven't opened her up, her head is just a little loose at the front, and when I squished her, small brown, black spots of something came out of her neck D:
Her previous owner had put her in a pool and she has tail rust, if this is any help :)
Thanks a lot,
Mlp Sunsparkle xx

I would say open her up and clean that pony out! I usually like to keep the neck seal intact but will pop that head off in a second for the sake of preserving the pony. It totally sounds like she may have some mold or something inside and I'm sure it'll just get worse if you don't do anything. The tint to around her ears and hooves probably won't come out and the black spots around neck may or may not depending on if it's pony "cancer" or pin dot mold. Pin dot mold can be described just as it sounds. A tiny black dot of mold, this can sometimes be removed. But the fact that something actually came out of her neck when squeezed means something funky is going on in there for sure!
Pop her head off and clean, clean, clean the inside and then just for good measure maybe give her a dip in the hot tub (pot of boiling water). You'll want her head to remain off for that part. Make sure she's nice and dry before putting her head back on.

Yea I have seen that before and for me it was mold inside the pony because, some kid put it in water and the water was trapped in there. Over time it grew a garden of mold. The longer the mold is in there the more it discolors the outside of the pony. Like my baby Tic Tac Toe was full of mold and has some spotting on the outside of her in places. I took her head off and scrubbed her out with a toothbrush and antibacterial soap and then I scrubbed her with clorox. It can get into the hair too so you have to scrub the inside of the head really good. Then I rinsed her out and put her upside down on a cup drying rack for two days. Just know that all of this will clean her and get rid of the mold but will not undo the damage to the vinyl. Oh and Gingerbread is right as I have used boiling water too in all this process as well. It kills things. Oh and I was going to say that for ponies and sea ponies I find in this condition I always store silica packets in their body to keep the mold from coming back. I change them out about every 4 months. She has to be cleaned because mold is one of those things that will spread.

It sounds like a rusty washer to me. They can really break down and cause the discoloration and black flecks you describe. I would certainly open her up and clean her out. You'll want to remover her tail and get the washer off. Also, if you can get a bottle brush or something down into her legs and such, you may be able to clean out the rust that's causing the discoloration. Good luck!

Thanks @Elfpony !
Well guys, My mum opened her up for me and it was disgusting! I think it was a combination of rust and mold, but mostly mold. Here are some pics of the inside of her, some of the mold that just fell out and her tail washer D:
Her insides are clean but her body is still a little discoloured, but nowhere near as bad!image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg
