MLPTP EVENT Whatcha Watching Halloween Guessing Game

No Tim Burton. He makes great movies though!

It was not made in the 60s, nor does it feature a haunted house. However, there is a brooding Gothic mansion involved!

Ok! I'm going for a random guess off the list.....
The Old Dark House (1932)

Ohhhh this is tricky!
Lol
Erm is the film horror noir?
Time too use my last Q me thinks lol x

It is not The Dark Old House (which is fabulous, by the by).

Yes, it is considered noir by some!

I don't believe the film's theme would fall under the heading of dark magic.

I will say this movie is neither a classic, not incredibly obscure. It's known, but not well known. Your clue is this: It was made with a popular type of 'gimmick' film technique.

Is it "The Mask of Red Death"?

Oh I am thinking no on this one...baaaaaa just looked at an answered question.

I have never even heard of these actors lol.........
Is it The hounds of the Baskerville?
X

Is the movie called the Black Sleep?

Okay Bun Bun, did you just party too much last night? Was the movie too scary? Did the llama get out and kick the cows well ya know? Did the goat get on the roof and fall halfway down the chimney? Were you out rescuing 12 donkeys? Or did the rain finally turn your house into a boat and your are acting out the movie about the kid in the big bathtub?

I am lost on this mooooooooooovie. Did Hank accidentally blow up the place with one of those fire cracker experiments and a bottle of Milk of Magnesia?

Well, Hank probably would love to blow this place up. He do love explosions. Thud far none of these answers are correct.

While Castle's "Tingler" effect of electrifying seats was quite the gimmick, this one has been in use for right at a century and is enjoying popularity right now! In fact... many movies are made with this technique for the past few years. It comes and goes in the trends, but always returns!

Once you figure out the type of filming used, narrowing this film down will become a cinch!
