What made this auction so special?

The blue one and the white one. She even took extra pictures of them. These are EXTREMELY rare and HTF. I guess my bid of $3.33 didn't hold up!! LOL!!

Beach Belle, that blue pony on the right is pretty rare.
[edit] Oh I didn't even notice Caribbean Delight, yeah those 2 are worth the whole price of that auction

XD If I had known they would've become the new Mimic I would've bought all of the ones they had on clearance at the Menards up the road from my house for $2 after Christmas that year! I have a set myself, and it still surprises me that they really are that rare.

I actually have a double of both of them now, thanks to my niece. She got their hair in a horrible knot and actually tied the hair of the two ponies together so they are stuck pretty well. She just gave it to me saying she couldn't deal with it anymore.

Sometimes I see them at Savers/Goodwill too, maybe I should start picking them up to sell on here?

I wish I could find Caribbean Delight at a thrift store. I really want her because she's so pretty. I hate that she's so expensive because I could never afford her. Too bad I didn't start collecting a few years earlier than I did. Every year I go shopping with my mom on Black Friday and we always go to Menard's first so I could have gotten her.
 
I was hoping that I was going to win with a bid of $85, but I knew I wouldn't. lol
 
Wow $200 still seems a little high o_0 But hey, if you have the money XD
I got my Beach Belle for like $65/$70 shipped earlier this year. I have yet to see CD up for sale anywhere though =/
 
I agree with ristvak... that price still seems high for the condition they were in... someone was probably so excited to see them listed they didn't mind paying extra...
 
I actually bought this set MIB in 2006 off of eBay for $34. I was STOKED!!! It was a tax season gift for myself.

And then in 2007 I found BB in a lot on eBay. Sucked a little because she had red ink on her forehead. After LOTS of work and a little time in the sun, she looks very well these days. And even a darling member here gave me her adorable little outfit.

Now I'm on the hunt for her friend loose, but I'm in no hurry. Have other things I'm currently looking for, but won't pass up a chance at a good deal!!
 
Yeah, that seems a little high, especially since BB's price at least seems to have come down a bit.

I got a Beach Belle hidden in a lot that worked out to be like $2 a pony though, so I can't complain.
 
I wish I would have kept mine in the package!


I guess I need to go find mine and put them up for sale. I need money for quarter horse congress!
