I just sent the last of my collection off to be sold with the exception of a handful of ponies that I haven't yet had my fill of.

I guess between the G3 hangups and just life in general I finally am NOT into ponies that much anymore. It's really weird, because I never thought I'd feel that way, but I just guess it's time to move on.

Interestingly enough, the money from the ponies is going to make my car have 600HP dyno sheets by July. Trading ponies for.. ponies. :lol:
 
Thats kinda sad. I went through something similar, although I didn't have nearly the collection you had. I kept a handful for my daughter for when she is older and the one my husband bought for me (TE Speedy). Hopefully I can get her MOC from your auctions to finish me off.

I'll be posting the moc twinkle eyes probably this sunday, and speedy is one of them:)

It's sad that you're getting out of the hobby, but I totally understand where you're coming from. I'm going to be seriously thinning down my herd as well soon. But my 105 mocs aren't goin anywhere!
 
Like I said, when this is through, I am buying you a plane ticket to come visit me. <3

MT, I have a German Speedy going up. I actually have a photo of me holding her the day I got her, man I was so happy. Now I look at the picture and I'm like "Well, there was money I could have used for X"..
 
It's always sad to hear someone's getting out of collecting, but I wish you lots of money from their sales!!!!! :D

Nope, no ice crystal, but I might be selling my Tornado. You can find all her auctions by clicking on the pic in my sig;)

As for the plane ticket, that'd be awesome! But I'm not gonna have any money to travel for a while after that horse i just bought! Hmm, it would be nice to actually go somewhere for my spreak break next year though:D It's always freezing up here, FL sounds much better!

I have a 99 Camaro Z28 6-speed. The reason for all this is that I wrecked and totaled my Anniv. Edition 97 Toyota Supra hardtop back in January. 1/53 made, there really is no way to replace it.. except with about 400 more horsepower. I'm looking to take out new Z06 Corvettes with my car.

The same thing happened to be... I used to have somewhere around 200 ponies, but I've been selling them a few at a time for like a year and now I'm down to about 30 that I want to keep... for now. Same thing happened with my Littlest Pet Shop colecting as well... and now I'm getting back into collecting Pokemon cards. XD

Golly...my beat up Ford Taurus wagon sounds really pathetic all of a sudden...well, more than it already did, lol. :) I'm sorry to hear you're getting out of collecting, Merry Treats! But I also feel the money id going toward a good cause. :p

Good luck with your collection sales, I know you have some seriously awesome stuff that I'll never be able to afford but will drool over anyway. :wink:

I sold just about all my G1 and I used the money for a bill or two and bought some long needed clothing, and I haven't bought any G3 in a month or so. I just moved, but I have really been buying clothing and stuff like that, I seem to feel good when I look good :) Ponies are fun still, but eh I need a break off it and maybe roll back in later.

Phew. Good, I hate it when people leave. Especially when you're so close to 2000 posts; it would just be bad timing LOL Besides, I think of you every Wednesday and Thursday because there's a puppy at work named Merry (whose daycare days are Weds. and Thurs.) and I've taken to calling her Merry Treats. :)
PS-can I just say how insanely much I want that Italian Star Flower? sigh...
 
Oh, that´s sad that you give up collecting. Hopefully you´ll get much money for it. How many ponies did you have in your collection?

I hear ya!

I'm actually selling off my G3s to pay for my real pony! She's much more satisfying than a bunch of ponies on a shelf, although there are still some I just can't part with! Plus after a while I just couldn't keep up! I haven't been around in ages, and I guess they just aren't as important to me as they used to be!

It's all about ponies for horse power!

Here we are at 2 shows last year: I think she's worth it, don't you?

WOW, blackeyed, she's just gorgeous! Looks like two of us are swapping ponies for ponies. 8)

Snowflake, my entire collection isn't going, but 75% of my MOCs and about 20% of my loose ponies, along with about 40% of my G3s have gone. I'm trying to narrow it down to one shelf I can fit them all on.

I may have some Fairy Tails things later on to sell, but that will be much after.
 
It completely sucks about your car. Good luck with your pony sales. I may have a go at a few of 'em myself. :D

hehehe, that is a good motivation. Only downside to performance is that you never get it's full cost back when you go to resell. :/ That's a nice dyno #, is it to the flywheel or to the ground?
