Yesterday I was at Big Lots and found the Wonder Waves Surf Shop that comes with an exclusive pony named Guava Lava and three other ponies for $25.00.Of course I bought it because I thought it was very adorable, but I was wondering was that a good buy or did they like over price it?I know it sounds like a really dumb question and I feel stupid just asking it,but I was just curious....

Guava Lava only came with that set, which wasn't widely available (warehouse club-Sam's?only). Lately I've heard of it showing up at Big Lots and such., but not with alarming frequency. The sets not too big and bulky, you get 3 ponies that would be $15 NIB at a store, and Guava lava, who I'd have to say is more than $5. You got a fair (but not spectacularly good) deal there.

I don't know if it was a good deal or not, not sure what retail value of it was, but I just bought one at my Big Lots last week :)

Well, I can't get her so I am very jelous!:winkw:

i say good buy b/c i got it too. i just think 5 per pony plus 5 for the playset...that is a good deal to me....and those are such pretty ponies...some of my favorites...and i love the accessories!!

Thanks for the info/opinions(I couldn't decided which it would be) guys.=) The only problem with my set was that after I opened it up I found out that one of Strawberry Reef's sides was a bit squished from the way she was packaged.:frownw: I wish I could fix it,but I don't think I can.

Sam if I wasn't so dang poor at the moment I'd offer to buy another set for you.^-^; I think it is kind of dumb that they don't sell it over in the Uk.

I seem to remember that's about what I paid for the set at Sam's when I bought it, so it seems like a good deal to me. Cute set, lots of ponies, even if they were duplicates at the time. Good to know it's at Big Lots - if any UK'ers want me to grab one for them, send me a PM. :smilew:

I know sweetie,
But its all good, I can still get G1's which I feel bad for US'ers who have no chance of that feeling.
((hugs))

I feel bad for people who don't get to buy her in stores.I wonder why they wouldn't sell the whole set many places in America, but I suppose they have their reasons.

*huggles Sam back*Yes,you guys over in the Uk do get some very beautiful ponies,so I suppose I should be more jealous of you.

Sam, it is probably available in Woolies, so you can get it. My local Woolies has a few sets left, more than the castle.

I was thrilled when I found the set at my Big Lots a few months back. I think $25 is a good buy myself, Guava Lava has sold for more than that by herself. :) Does anyone know what the set sold for at Sam's Club or where ever it was originally sold?

Big Lotts does seem to have a lot of them, well at least all of the ones I have been to seem to have a lot in stock.I've only seen one auction with just Guava Lava in it and she went for like $60,which surprised me because I didn't think she was that rare. I'm sure where she was originally sold, but I doubt it could've been for the much..probably like around $18...
