Hello,
I have four South African My Little Ponies from the 80’s. One is a prototype, two are incomplete and one is complete. I would like to sell them but would like to know how much they are worth.

Thank you.

How wonderful are these! Thank you for sharing them with us! SA ponies frequently go near and over $1k, but their rarity makes them extremely difficult to price, since so few are bought or sold. I'm afraid I don't have any experience with SA's, but hopefully someone who does will chime in ;)

Oh, wow those are fantastic! I wish I could offer some help but they've always been too far outta my price range to buy any so I don't have any experience there.

I don't have any SAs, personally, but I do have 4 Japanese Takaras, and they seem to run pretty similar in pricing. I do not know about the prototype or the incompletes, but I would value Moonstone up to $2000 USD. I cannot see if she has any flaws, but from what I can see she seems to be in good condition. Again, I am not an expert in SAs, but I am sure I have seen those complete in good condition running between $1000-$2000 based on condition and rarity.

So, I’ve discussed this with someone who has collected Nirvana and is regarded as somewhat of an expert and good source for pricing with in the pony community.

In our discussion and based off the photos you’ve shared this is what she had to say:
They are really starting to pop up more now. I would say for Moonstone $1,200-1,500. Skydancer about $500 and the rest I’d say $800-1,200. They are becoming more common, definitely not as rare as they were say 5 years ago. I’ve seen so many come up especially over the last two years.

So, as a lot I’d say you’d be able to nab an easy $3,500usd for the set of 4. You may be able to and a bit more money if you separate and sell them individually.
