I don't care about leaving brushables in their boxes. I want to be able to interact with them! That said, I'll leave any MIB/MOC ponies I see on ebay or something similar alone. Usually those are retired, so they'll make someone else happier. If I can reasonably expect to be able to walk into a physical store somewhere in the world and buy a pony, I'm going to unbox it.
On the flipside, I don't care enough for vinyl figures and plushies to take them out of the box. The plushies in particular seem like more hassle to maintain out of the box than it'd be worth!
Rapunzel's cutie mark is kinda ugly, imo. I see the appeal of her, I just can't find myself liking the pony.
The original G4 toys are honestly pretty good, imo! Definitely nowhere near the quality of the past generations, and I would like if they were bigger and had less wimpy hair, but they match the show's style well, and look good. But the later G4 toys and pony life toys? I am... really not a fan.
Earlier generations had amazing toys, but not so great shows. The reverse is true for G4.
G3 is the best generation, in my eyes. It's the one I grew up with, and I believe my first pony was Cherry Blossom! While I do love the chunkiness of the G1s, the elegance of the G2s, and G4's show, they just can't compare to the more stylised realistic G3s, plus they're a lot easier to find than some of their older cousins
