So I'm not a pony collector, but a few weeks ago I found these guys at my favourite thrift shop. They were only 2$ each, so I figured I had nothing to lose by buying them and shoving them on eBay. Their packaging is fully intact, but Shady's is pretty dog eared, and Stripes has some warping on the top of her card, as you can see in the pictures. Anyway, as I said, I'm not a collector, so I have no idea if they're worth anything or not. Any info would be greatly appreciated :)

I'm not an expert on prices of MIP ponies, but I'd say you should make back your investment and then a lot some. Hopefully someone can be more precise for you on pricing, though. Those are two really lovely ponies!

I am not an expert either on MOC prices but they will certainly bring you a nice profit. That's an awesome find and I'm glad you 'saved' them. Through ebay they will definitely land in good hands. =) Any G1 pony still in the original packaging is worth something!

As an aside - I'd understand if you don't want to say - are you located in the US? It would be neat if you were and then found these foreign ponies! I'm just curious.

Great finds! I wish I could have been that lucky; my thrift stores rarely have ponies at all, let along MOC G1s!

Yeah, I can't really give you a price check, either. But if the right people happen to be bidding.... You could end up with one heck of a profit.

EDIT: Just went to eBay. In three minutes, an auction will end on a relatively common G1 pony (I think more common than the two you have, but I'm not 100% sure) MOC. There are currently 14 bids; the current bid is $70. So.... yeah. That was a really, really smart idea.

MOC So-soft ponies run $50-100+ ...with the damaged card & Shady being a slightly less popular character, I'd guess that one would be around $50-70.

MOC Rainbow Curl ponies are probably around $40-80. Again with a damaged card, you're probably looking at the lower end of that range.

Still, a great return on value on your find!! :) Looks like you've got Canadian cards with the English & French language combo. (Edit to add) Canada had the same ponies as the US, so even though the cards have "foreign languages", they are still standard North American release ponies, not foreign variants.
