Today has been a really weird day.

I saw SoSoftClaire's beautiful collection earlier. Her photo's not only got me lusting for some proper shelves, but a toy my little pony sewing machine. I've had so many of these on my watch lists. I'll forget to bid, and they'll sell cheap. or the shipping charges will be to much to Canada.

WELL.
Today I ended up with an unexpected day off. I went to the local drug store for a few things, and wanted to pop into the deli for some pepperoni sticks. it was closed. so, I headed into the used book shop right by it. They carry all sorts of stuff, even snacks. They didn't have pepperoni. :(



So I looked at the collector books instead. as I was leaving I see that familiar "rainbow" out of the corner of my eye....

OMG! a Toy Sewing Machine!!!!!!!! Really? What are the odds?

Of course I was bouncing off the walls and I bought it! I'm so happy! I have the sewing machine, and no shipping! And I'm really happy once I got a look at it. The decals are even in great shape.

LOL, yes, it's funny. I didn't care much about not getting pepperoni after finding this beauty! wonder why? ;)

also, I'll be in that shop much more often now. A new pony hunting spot.

While you can't eat a sewing machine like you can pepperoni, you can still drool over it ^_^

OMG! What are the odds of finding that, let alone in a book store? Excellent find!

Not to be nosy, but I was just curious in what they charged you...sometimes places have something Vintage and would charge an arm & leg for it! (Our Flea Market has a booth that's charging $28 for a vintage MLP plastic lunch box...Geez!).
 
Holy cheez-its!! How come the bookstores around here don't have anything like that!? THat'd be awesome, b/c I love to read, and the double joy would kill me... :D

No worries, feel price to ask what I paid for mlp stuff anytime. lol.
I paid $7 CDN for it. plus taxes. :mrgreen: (and yes, I know exactly what you mean. some places charge an arm and a leg for anything "vintage")

That is so cool, Firefly! That's one of the best pony luck stories I've ever heard. I know those things are not common, and in a used book store? Jeez I'm just so happy for that awesome find. Even though it's small, shipping is still a lot, and of course it's even worse to Canada, so that is just perfect!

I'm jealous of how clean and complete it is... and the box, and thread and ohh man!

Oh, my gosh... that is the cutest thing ever! Congrats on finding it at such an odd place. I'd forget all about the pepperoni, too. LOL
