This has to be the tiniest brag, ever...

But, still, it's important to me! :D

Meet my first MLP, Sunbeam...

mmlpsb.jpg

She is my favorite pony, not afraid to admit it! :D Part of the reason I'm posting this picture is that not only was she my first pony, but also my first restore. ^^ She was grimy, she had bad dirt staining all over, really bad ingrained dirt on the bottom of her feet, and her hair was dry, thin, and in some areas even oily. Oo; She even had a loose tail bolt knocking around inside of her. Now... she's beautiful, bright, clean... and her hair is so incredibly thick, smooth, shiny, and it is SO soft to the touch. And she smells really good, too! XD I love this pony so much. She is my pride and joy. I've restored other ponies too, but... she is by far the most beautiful, and oddly enough, took the least work. She is the reason I am collecting ponies now. ^_^

PS: I should add, that unlike the rest of my herd, which lives on a bookshelf in my room, she sits on my PC so I can see her when I'm on. ^^

Awww Congrats! I need to learn how to restore ponies and I ESPECIALLY need to learn how to fix a ponies hair.

But she's definitely pretty!! Her hair looks gorgeous now, You did a great job!

She is beautiful! You did a great job on her. :)

Thank you, Rika and Mia! ^_^ There's still so much I, myself have to learn about restoration... I've got the basics down but I plan on learning hands-on once I get myself over to the thrift store, and hopefully fine some ponies who need some hardcore TLC.

Restoration is quite fun, really... I really like giving a new lease on life to these poor ponies. :angel2:

Aw, she's a cutie! i love restoring ponies as well, it is a lot of fun! i enjoy doing it very much! congrats on sunbeam! :bathbaby:

Nice work lucky7k! Sunbeam looks beautiful! I love restoring ponies. They look so amazing after some TLC. Looks like you've figured out the tricks and secrets for bringing ponies back to their original beauty. Congrats on your pony and may you renew life for many, many more.

Thank you everyone, for your kind words! ^^ Ironically, I just cleaned up some ponies today, too... this is one of the few hobbies that has really grabbed me in all of my lifetime of collecting. I really want to learn how to do the complex things, like re-root and all that. Nothing pleases me more than cleaning and fixing up these ponies and displaying them nicely. It's just so much fun! <333

She is beautiful. I have a huge soft spot for the whole set that she came in - they are my all time favourites. You did a great job on her. It's hugely satisfying to bring them back from being sad and grubby to being as pretty as they should be!!

I'm only just starting out on doing more restoration than just basic cleaning -
re-hairing etc - it's a bit scary sometimes if you think you might make things worse...:surprise:but the state you find some ponies are in I don't think they could get any worse!!

Thank you for your compliments! It is so satisfying... thats why I don't mind if loose ponies are inc. minty... it's a challenge. :3

I'm looking forward to it, actually! I really want to put all my effort into this. I'll buy some baities, and experiment... and hopefully things will go well... this is the first hobby I've ever really fell head over heals for, so I won't let anything scare me away. ^___^
