dangit. we don't carve pumpkins anymore because...well...we're all too old. and with MB being out of commision because of his butt, and CT and Gracie having tomorrow off idk if I can convince a parent to take me into town....not that anyone out there will have a carved pumpkin that i could "borrow". what can't i just go into Micheals and use their foam carvable pumpkins? those are "real"....

Oh i love to carve pumpkins, we just went to the pumpkin patch yesterday!! But we only carve them the day before Halloween. this will be fun.
 
Luckily I bought pumpkins about 2 weeks ago. Carved one of them already.

My biggest concern was the pumpkin on top was very heavy... I took that shot as fast as I could! I thought my Batman pumpkin would get crushed! :lol:
I put Denim Blue on a glass bowl inside, so she wouldn't get pumpkin crud on her.

*edit* I JUST posted my photo, and now the rules are edited to say TWO ponies inside. It did say 'ponies' when it was first posted, but did not mention how many at the time of my submission. So I understand I will be getting sneaky or less points for only having 1 pony inside the pumpkin.
I just wanted to point this out, in case someone else jumps on another step real quick. I'd wait a bit before posting in case Wolfie needs to make any final changes.

Whoa Willow, you are fast!! Good job!

I did notice I missed the kind and amount of ponies so one baby will be acceptable also! But two pumpkins are a must!!
 
yeah, its still kinda early to have pumpkins carved without going bad before halloween night. i will be doing my pumpkin or pumpkins, the week of halloween. i hope no baby ponies suffer being stuck inside a smelly pumkin.
 
i will miss out because i'm not in america, well that sucks :p ah, i'll sit and enjoy your pumpkins XD

Yes, I read it wrong in the first place anyway it did say 'ponies' in the first post. So I know I would be getting sneaky points anyways.
I just wanted to let the others know, they might be better waiting awhile before submitting a photo in case changes must be made.

It is way too hot here to mess with carving a pumpkin...It would be nasty with flies before Halloween. I guess I sit this one out.
 
Thanks for the clarification, wolfie. Luckily, my pumpkins (and cornstalks and indian corn) were free this year. My dad did some masonry work for a farmer who told him to take what he wanted. They're the nicest pumpkins I've had in a long time. Time to get to carving!
 
Being early is part of the challenge! Only a few steps/bonuses left so they have to be tough. Foam pumpkin are not considered real and part of the challenge is having to gut and carve the pumpkin in a short amount of time or get lucky in finding one already done.

Come’on hunters…it’s a contest and the game has to get aggressive for those of you playing for points. I've seen you all do some crazy stuff this year so I know you can do this one.

Okay so i am done with mine i took like 30 pic's, just waiting for them to upload. I put my pumpkin in our garden bed where the corn stalks are still there. I think they turned out way cool. :44:

:( Well, I think I'm going to have to sit this one out. Sadly nobody around here has pumpkins out and carved already and I don't have the money to go buy two overpriced pumpkins from the grocery store tomorrow morning. If only this step had have been later in the week when I'll be at a carving contest. Oh wells. I'll do the step then, even if I don't get the points for it.
 
Very nice! The stalks are a super effect!

I love the ones completed already. Everything from pumpkins barfing baby ponies up to ponies trapped behind toothy bars. Awesome! Those hesistating, stick two babies in a bag and carry them with you. You never know where you'll find a carved pumpkin this time of year, or even a decorated one. Those sneaky points add up! There was never a step I wouldn't try, even if full points were hopeless.
