Hmm i am gonna need a tree that isn't to high to climb but is high enough for me to hang from 
not a lot of medium sized trees around here lol and i don't wanna be upside down about a power line though i will climb up that far

Okay so i finally posted mine although you can see my spotter, I didn't like the other pic with out him.
I took alot this was fun here are some of the others. and we did it at night!! I made a Bat Hat too with huge ears. lol

Man...didn't have time to find the perfect tree to try it right or at least half right for some sneaky points... >< but I've already gone the past 2 months with a broken ankle, didn't want to go for another broken bone with my fat self D =
Had to settle with a short tree to stand up in and hobo-ish bat wings, that I hope I get at least some sneaky points for if they don't look like 'bat' wings ^^""

You know i just found a major bruise on my leg from this, apparently i am more easy to bruise now that i am getting older. lol i never used to bruise easy. I would post a pick but it is yuck!I sure does hurt.

Ringo, Thanks a bunch! I made them with close hangers, black fabric and safety pins. I like making things. I wish I had been brave enough to fully hang from the tree, but knowing my luck I'd've landed on my head.

This was a really fun step! I must admit that it took three guys to help me so that I didn't fall on my head. Why is it that getting out of a tree (without falling) is always so much harder than getting in!

ugh im gonna have to miss this step too >.< the two trees we have in the yard the lowest branch is way to far up to get to and I have to work today so I cant go to the park

Boy, wolfie, you're really exploiting my fears this year, aren't you? *lol* First clowns, now heights!
Here's my ordeal. We were trying for a tree in the front yard. My brother says, "I'll just turn you upside down, and you can hook your legs over."
I say, "I don't think that's going to-" Next thing I know, I'm upside down.
He's yelling, "Put your legs over!"
I'm yelling, "I'm too short! I can't reach! Put me down!"
So we had to change our game plan and hit the backyard. He got a ladder for me. All the while, my four-year-old niece is yelling and whining that I'm going to fall out of the tree.
I'm whining that I don't like ladders, trees, or anything high.
I finally get my big butt seated on the little knot.
Trying to situate my body. I got stuck, so this is as upside down as I was going to get.
I actually like this one best but went with the wider shot. At this point, I ask for my camera to make sure my mom got at least one useable pic out of the ordeal.
I say, "Yeah, that's good. I'm done. Get me down!"
I'm unstuck, out of the tree, and all too eager to get off the ladder too.

Ugh, hurt ankles are no fun, hope yours feels better! i had to laugh reading your post because it sounds like me, 'cept the ankle bit. Plus I'm afraid of heights ^_^;;; I did remember to wear my paint clothes so my regular clothes wouldn't get all sappy.
A lot of people had great ideas for wings!
