OMG What if they made Mimic and sold it with the four golden horse shoes as the book !?!?! That would be AWESOME......

seeingv her now I am glad I did not preorder her. I am not happy with her proportions. I think they are off.
I agree with you--she looks more like a fakey than a true pony. Her head is much too big.
That's cool but I though Hasbro lost the rights to the origianl pony names/designs or something?
I hope they reissue a few other G1, Im not really a fan of firefly.
I went into some detail about that a few months back, I don't remember in which context, but the basic gist was this:
Personally, I think the whole "Hasbro lost the rights to the original pony names" is nonsense.
1st, because they used quite a few G1 names during G3, even though they should've lost the rights to them by then.
2nd, because they could easily secure the rights of any pony name by trademarking "My Little Pony Skydancer" instead of just "Skydancer".
3rd, other than bringing it up for nostalgia value, Hasbro has seemed pretty much intent on pretending G1 or G2 never existed (with a few exceptions) and instead basing the whole franchise around G3. It's not like they couldn't bring G1 characters back, it's that they didn't want to.
4th, the Dolly Mixes exist.
As an addendum, I'd just like to point out that the names they claim were the only ones they didn't lose the rights to, Applejack and Spike, are probably some of the hardest names to secure ever.
To be fair, Spike I can understand them not losing, since he'd been in use ever since the Princess Promenade movie (2005) up until The World's Biggest Tea Party musical (2008 ), with G3 ending and G3.5 lasting barely a year before G4. That's not long enough to lose rights over a name.
But Applejack? Not even taking the obvious connections to cereal into account, in G3 they used her all of twice, both in 2003. That's not only nearly 20 years after her last use in G1, but a whole 7 before she was brought back for G4. Hasbro could have lost and gained the rights repeatedly, but if that's the case, Applejack wasn't even a major player in G3, so of all the names they could've secured, why bother bringing her back? Why not Cotton Candy, a character they were actively using, for one?
Tl;dr: There is enough evidence to suggest that the whole "Hasbro lost the rights to G1 names" thing is absolute twaddle.
Anyway, moving right along.
This is great. It almost makes me feel bad I already have a Firefly, otherwise I might have gotten this one! And I don't want to sound like a massive Geewunner, but...
Woo-hoo for G1 making a comeback! That makes me so happy!
Wal Mart sent me a sorry we cant fill this order after I preordered mine. So I got a refund. I am sad as I really wanted that firefly and it was such a good price.
