MLPTP EVENT The MLPTP's Halloween Swap!!! ~ COMPLETE!

How come I can't find any wish lists??

Look in the Wishing Well forum. It's the thread titled "MLPTP's Halloween Swap Wish Lists Thread".

I have ponies on their way and a bunch of extras already. This is the easiest time I've had doing a swap ever! Wonder where I can get some Halloween wrapping paper.....

Quick, before the Christmas stuff gets put out...

I have stuff that will be on the way as of Oct 10, from a trusted seller who's on vacation til then, so short of a postal foul up ( and I do have a plan B...waiting to hear back from seller) I'm all set other than one or two small extras. *yay!*

ponies purchased (one or two I had as extras I keep for swaps!), extras are done!

between goodies and wrapping, I hope there is enough room in the flat rate box o.0

Where do you guys find Halloween Wrapping paper? I haven't been able to find any this year!

I hope to find some halloween wrapping paper too but if I dont find any I use orange and black.

I was hoping to look for some, but I do have some Halloween tissue paper from a previous swap that I saved for just such an occasion. Halloween napkins work well for wrapping small items. I've used different holiday ones for other swaps, too. Make sure they are the bigger size ones and not the little cocktail type. They're too small unless you have really small items to wrap.

I just used purple and silver tissue paper (dunno where the silver came from - had it laying around for years)

I purchased my partners goodies, just waiting for them to arrive! I can't wait, hope she likes 'em!

Umm...what would you guys do about this dilemma?

I have already gotten all my partner's ponies, and I found her some really cool ones (I think). BUT...there is one pony on her wishlist that she REALLY wants and I have one I could send to her, but it is not in "minty mint" condition. It is very good, but it was a "play pony" and has a light dirt mark on the NDS front leg that I can't magic eraser all the way off. It is not a super expensive pony but I can't find a better one online right now.

So should I send it along or just leave it out? I wouldn't want to disappoint her by sending a really-really-wanted pony in not quite perfect shape, although I don't think she's super picky either.

So what would you want if you were my partner (or what would you do if you were me)? Any input is appreciated.

If it were me and I had this same problem once. I just put it as an "extra." I think my partner understoond because the pony I gave at the time had faded white hair and a mark that I couldnt fix. :/ Though it was a harder to find pony. :)

I'm with skycakes. even if it's not perfect, I bet they'd be happy to at least have that pony as a place marker for an upgrade at a later date :)

DItto what the others say. I think the thought behind it will count for a lot. And if someone has a "REALLY REALLY WANT" pony on their wish list, I think, unless they're a super duper openly ueber picky collector, it will be a major SQUEE moment. :)

I have to confess I always try to look for the "most wanted" on a list and put it in = exactly as stated before about creating a SQUEE moment ;-) now who doesn't want that? that's why we join swaps I thought!

So I totally agree with the others = unless your partner says, or you somehow found out, they are super picky or only MIB collectors kinda thing = put a wanted pony in a swap box :)

I agree with the others. If it was a pony I really, really wanted I would love to get it no matter the condition. But then again I'm not a super picky collector. I just don't like major haircuts, major marks, or ponies with missing/damaged parts. Any pony is a good pony.

Thanks guys. That helps a lot. I started packing the box last night! This is so much fun.

yahooo!! Only need one more thing to arrive (final pony, not shipping to me until the 10th). Everything is wrapped and ready except for that! :alien_dance:

Ponies are on their way. I just need to go back to the store because I used some of what I bought for my partner for something else. Needed a quick door prize and didn't have anything handy... until I saw the bag of swap items... Lifesaver is what that was. But yay more shopping!

oh man, so want to fulfill top wants for my partner... hmmm - give 'em a pony from my own herd? might be the best solution...

Overall today I am having F-U-N shopping :) so glad to have gotten the halloween stuff outta storage!! yay for holiday decorations :)
