MLPTP's BIG Fundraiser! The MLPTP's Forum Fundraiser and Giveaway 2023 is Here!

There are a TON of prizes to be allocated, which Sassy has so kindly offered to do. So once she's done assigning prizes to all the winners based on their lists they sent in, either she or I will be able to tell anyone who'd like to know what they've won. :)

It may be a couple of hours before we have that information though, due to the long list of prizes and winners, so stay tuned, everypony! <3

That sounds like an overwhelming amount of work, but it also sounds fun and up my alley. Maybe I could help out next year if help is needed!

The entire Fundraiser is several months of work, believe it or not :)

I look for prizes for it year-round (I've already started on 2024 LOL), and we start planning months in advance, which includes gathering prizes (many from generous donations from our members), and I do the cleaning/ hair setting / etc of prizes as needed, photograph the prizes, edit and resize the photos, build the threads, and create the graphics.

During the 6 active weeks the Fundraiser is running, I plan out our social media promoting, schedule mass emails, write the custom html code for the emails, and send them without giving the server IBS. ;) Then there's the matter of keeping track of ALL the different prize lists for entrants, and updating entries on a daily basis. Not to mention all the legwork of trying to track down those who don't supply their MLPTP username, shipping address, or prize list, as indicated in the terms.

@Sassarazzmadazzles is an amazing help with matching up the winners to the highest-up available prize on their list, which then enables me to begin the sorting and packing/shipping process as soon as tomorrow, with the goal of having all prizes in the mail by the end of the week.

@CJ Thimble Bright ran our hilarious "Who's Behind the Cactus?" game, which helped us give out donated entries. I'll have to tell the story of how that game came to be, sometime. ;)

@Skybreeze provided a beautiful custom prize.

@Gingerbread and @BethMcBeth have been involved every step of the way, providing invaluable support and encouragement.


There are lots of ways that you and anyone else would be welcome to help out :) Such as:
  • Donating financially to the Fundraiser
  • Donating desirable prizes
  • Helping to boost and interact with our social media posts
  • Encouraging your friends to join
  • And simply being a part of this wonderful community as we continue to grow <3

I believe it! I do social media admin stuff as a volunteer for a few nonprofits. You guys are awesome! I just started getting my collection out of storage and I have some interesting miscellaneous stuff that might make good prizes for next year. I’ll contact you when I have a handle on it! Thank you for what you do!
 
I am so excited! But also, I went back and forth on what my 'first choice' was, and now that I've won the top spot, I have regrets, lol! Ohwell. If the person who gets the Posty custom would prefer the llama pony, lmk. :)

Jewel said the team is busy allocating the prizes, so take your time, of course. Thank you to all who donated prizes and thank you to the MLPTP team for putting this together, it has been a lot of fun for me to follow along with!!

That's awesome! And thank you! <3 I'm always open to suggestions for our social media promoting (I don't have a background in ANY of this!), so send me a PM sometime if you wouldn't mind chatting about it with me :)
