Contributors:
  • You must provide the entire list of available prizes (located here) put into order from your MOST DESIRED to LEAST DESIRED in order to be eligible for prize drawing. PM all information to @MustBeJewel.

  • You must provide your entire shipping address, including a full name, otherwise we will not be able to ship a prize to you and you will not be eligible for prize drawing. PM all information to @MustBeJewel.
    • Your list of preferred prizes and your full shipping address must be received by 11:59pm EST on October 25th in order to be eligible for prize drawing.

    • If your list is incomplete (ie: does not include all prizes listed) and your number is drawn, but the prizes on your incomplete list have already been spoken for, you will be issued a prize at random.

    • If you do not submit your list, you will be issued a prize at random.

    • If you do not submit your full shipping address, you will not be able to receive a prize if your number is drawn.

    • If you win a prize, your prize will be shipped to exactly the shipping address you supply. A full name and address is required for shipping purposes only.

    • It is your responsibility to check this thread for updates, as well as to check your private messages and emails for communications and updates about the fundraiser.

    • Email updates will be sent automatically to your registered MLPTP email address only. Please make sure this setting is up to date in your MLPTP profile.

    • For fundraiser matters, please do not contact the mods or admin outside of the MLPTP forum.

    • By participating in the fundraiser, you agree to the above Terms & Conditions.

Why Do We Draw Winners This Way?​

The MLPTP has a long and rich history of games, events, and giveaways. We love being able to provide fun activities for our members, as well as chances to win prizes.

Prior to my becoming the site owner in 2019, I had been a moderator here since 2005. I saw many, MANY, events come to pass, and could not help but notice that those events with a list of prizes from which members' names were drawn and had to choose a prize, would go something like this:

1. First name is drawn.​
2. Admin reaches out for the winner to choose from the list of prizes.​
3. Admin waits as long as a week or more for the winner to choose something and provide a shipping address.​
4. Second name is drawn.​
5. Admin reaches out for the winner to choose from the remaining list of prizes.​
6. Admin waits as long as a week or more for the winner to choose something and provide a shipping address.​
7. Third name is drawn.​
8. Admin waits as long as a week or more for the winner to choose something and provide a shipping address, now heavily risking that this person has disappeared and will take even longer to track down as time goes on.​
9. And so on....................​

Can you imagine this process with more than 50 prizes like we have now?? :oops: We'd be here for a YEAR!

This process, on more than one occasion, dragged out for not weeks, but at one time, MONTHS. This meant that the admin was constantly chasing down people for their prize choices and information, and those who won prizes had to wait an exceedingly long period of time to be able to receive their prizes.

As the new site owner, I have chosen a much more expeditious and efficient route that benefits everybody. :)

:star: Our process is that we ask each entrant to provide their shipping address ahead of time--this way, if they go MIA, we can still send them a prize if they are drawn for one. The fundraiser generally goes on for 6 weeks, and anything can happen during that time. We want to make sure that our winners receive their prizes. Your support and being a member of our community is important to us, and we want to uphold our promises to you.​

:star: By providing the list of prizes from most preferred to least preferred, entrants enable the admin to use this process:​
​
1. First name is drawn.​
2. Admin checks their prize list and chooses their top prize, and is ready to ship.​
3. Second name is drawn.​
3. Admin checks their prize list and chooses their top prize still available, and is ready to ship.​
4. And so on.​
​
:star: Using this system, we are usually able to allocate prizes within 24-48 hours of numbers being drawn, and are usually able to ship within one week of the drawing.​

This way, everyone whose name is drawn gets their most preferred prizes that are left on the list, they get them quickly, and the process does not stretch on for weeks or months.

Even better, the admin and mod team are then ready to move on to even more fun events for YOU! ;) <3
