Making a postal run tomorrow special for the Christmas swaps. Last item for my partner just arrived. :)

ajcoecoe, your package looks amazing!

...Now I feel bad not including more Christmasy stuff in mine. :( I've been in sort of a slump this year when it comes to the holidays, I haven't even started decorating yet. Gotta get into the spirit, goshdarnit!

well I have a card that I use to save on shipping boxes and bubble mailers. I mainly use the card for boxes. I think my package is worth more than the shipping thankfully. :coolsnow:
 
Note to swappers: I had a ton of problems booking flights for my hometown, so I am now leaving on the 17th at night. What this means to you? My internet access might be flaky, since I am prepping for the trip, and I don't know what the internet situation is at my parents house anymore. For my swap partner... I will have the PO hold my mail so I probably won't get my box till I come back :(

I always hated the whole flying thing - especially since I had to go from Alaska to New York and one of the main connection cities is Chicago. Snow storms in Winter, Sever T storms in Summer..And lets not forget that United almost left my dog in chiacgo one summer. The plane is backing up and I'm like..uh, where is that little notice thing they give saying your dog is actually ON the plane? next thing I know one of those luggage chain things is followinong the plane, trying to get the plane to stop. I look out and see MY DOG on the luggage cart. I was NOT amused...

If I used a box, it would of been $30 to ship but I put the stuff in a christmas themed padded envelope and that dropped the shipping down to about $15. Plus the padded envelope looks much more festive. It has Snoopy with his dog house decorated with christmas lights and woodstock laying on the dog house roof. The only thing I don't like is there is no way to get something like delivery confermation for international paackages, unless you ship it express and that was WAY ouf of my budget. I spent most of my pathetic paycheck on new bras. I have been putting that off for a while but I am getting sick of being poked in the armpit by the stupid underwire, so I caved :p Plus I found pony socks from hot topic.
 
I shipped both of my packages today.

So. Much. STUFF. :biggrin: I'm still in awe at how much candy is in there! I love it! Thank you so much, partner!!

I'll take pictures later - still gotta learn how to use my brother's camera. :p

Oh Tiki! You're making me more nervous now! I am flying with Diesel, and even though he's flown before, it's always one of my fears that he won't make it in the plane or the cage will burst open and he'll run around the cargo area in fear!
 
I received both of my packages today from Skycakes and ajcoecoe. I will post pics later!

I finally got my swap stuff off today. :-( I feel bad that it's late , but it is finally on its way, which is what matters the most!
