The fate of Minty?

Ok, so since wave 4 is coming out all over the place, the insert with them showed the upcoming ponies. I think it's been sort of concluded that the main 6 are our wave 5. It's also November, and we haven't heard anything about a holiday pony. Which makes me wonder.....what was up with Minty then. Do you think she may be part of wave 6? Do you think it's still too early to see a holiday pony, and she still may be coming? Or.....the worst part....do you think she was made, and then scrapped, and we won't see her outside of Taobao?

I can't imagine a Minty not ever being made especially since a blind bag version was made. Plus, its MINTY who wouldnt want Minty?? She was one of my favorite G3's since she was also the only "greenish" pony? Minty I hope you come home for the holidays!

Thing is, we've been seeing some ponies show up (such as males and background ponies from the show) because Hasbro realizes how popular they are. EVERYONE loves Minty. Even bronies who don't like older gens LOVE Minty. Heck, I got a couple of those bronies to give G3 a chance just by describing her to them! So... I'd be kinda shocked if there wasn't a brushable Minty at some point.

I've seen the enthusiasm for her but have to admit I haven't heard what's appealing about her. On the other hand, three of the four used pony bundles I've gotten each had a holiday Minty complete with scarves and socks!

Well, we didn't get a Halloween pony this year....but we did get Easter/Spring and Valentines day. So I hold some hope

We need Minty! I'll cry if we get something like a Pinkie Pie with a scarf as our holiday release.

SO far all I've heard about (NOT in any stores around *here* {Pout} is a Pinkie Pie ornament. She at least looks kind of wintery, holding a snowflake in one hoof. But she's only an ornament.

Well, she's bascially an Asperger's pony, maybe even more than Twilight Sparkle. She's very quirky and a little OCD, and absolutely obsessed with socks and the color green. In fact, probably my favorite Minty quote is from "Come Back, Lily Lightly," where she introduces herself to the title character as "EXCUSE ME, my name is MINTY and I like SOCKS and the COLOR GREEN." (With about that emphasis).
Really, the voice that Tabitha St. Germain uses for Luna is a cross between her Rarity voice and her Minty voice, so that's kind of a link to FiM.
She's really just an exceptionally charming little pony.

Ah! Having the same voice actress probably has a good deal to do with it, seeing as how Rarity and Luna are both pretty popular. I tracked down the episode you mentioned and I could see how she might be a fun addition to FiM. Would she and Twilight click and geek out together, or would they drive each other nuts?

Honestly, I think Minty would get along better with Pinkie Pie than with anyone, just because she's random and silly. I could see Twilight being kind of annoyed with her. Rarity would like her at first, but then question her taste in socks. Yeah.... I think she would be BFFs with Pinkie.
