the solstice faerie dropped off my gift earlier today! i got excited when i felt how heavy it was, and when i took a tiny peek of the inside to see so much colorful wrapping
poor items were cold when i opened them- its in the negatives today but feels much colder with wind chill. they're okay though!
i wasn't sure if i wanted to open them right away or wait til xmas, but as @/OctoberMoon pointed out... it IS for the solstice, so why not now? self-control be darned
loved the packaging!
before i opened these, i was met with a Runaway Rainbow PC game & a sparkleworks ornament to add to my collection! i'm so happy that my ornament collection is growing slowly but steadily... and the box art for the PC game is super fun to look at
you know it went straight next to my Best Friends Ball Game on my shelf
and then i started with the wrapped items, opening the smallest one first
looks like we all got a minty in some form! i only have/had 4 tiny tins so i was so happy to get another. really nice condition on the card too
this next one eluded me because it made sounds when i handled it... and i knew it had to be this! couldn't believe it tbh i love this set so much. i will probably take all the foody stuff out eventually (its nearing 20 years old.... definitely not good anymore but i am curious whats really inside) but the cookie cutters inside are definitely staying. adorable and fitting for the season
then the BIGGEST gift for last- the giant game rug with a pinkie figure inside! i think i'll open it up, unravel the rug and place it near my pony area once i clean around there. i wasnt sure what it was before i opened- it felt like a MIP item but i also felt something soft... well, now i know
i can't explain how good it feels to take things off my wishlist when i get them.
@darklys i really can't thank you enough... you've spoiled me/all of us so much and i wish i could repay you somehow. you've really made my holiday season just that much better. i hope you're staying warm in this frigid weather & im wishing you the happiest of holidays
