I was super impressed by everyone’s entries. Everyone who doesn’t win should still be proud cause they’re all good! We’ll just have to turn this into a annual tradition to give you more chances!
Guest, The MLPTP's Fundraiser and Prize Giveaway will be returning on June 1st! Check out this thread for all the latest news!
Honestly, if Gingerbread could be the prize again (or any other pony I happen to really like haha) and I hadn't bought her by then.... I'd definitely have to haha. This is such an utter beatdown, but I'll have better ideas next year.I was super impressed by everyone’s entries. Everyone who doesn’t win should still be proud cause they’re all good! Can we have other holiday contests too? Like a Halloween and Christmas one???I was super impressed by everyone’s entries. Everyone who doesn’t win should still be proud cause they’re all good! We’ll just have to turn this into a annual tradition to give you more chances!

Both my crochet hat's were free hand lolOH MY GOSH! Y'all went wild! Now I'm really bummed I didn't get to finish mine. TT^TT
Also the crochet entries need to post their patterns after the voting is done, they're so cute!
So talented! I crocheted (is that the word??) a baby blanket and its so wonky lol. I don't think my son minds though. He mostly want to eat it. My talents lie in other artistic directions (I won't say which cause it will give my entry away). All the crocheted hats are amazing!!Both my crochet hat's were free hand lol
I could probably wright up a pattern for you if your interested.
Yes that is the correct word lolSo talented! I crocheted (is that the word??) a baby blanket and its so wonky lol. I don't think my son minds though. He mostly want to eat it. Ohh, I knew I'd always had issues with tension but I didn't realize the needle could be the culprit too. It's been a long time since I tried so my memory of it's a bit fuzzy, but I believe I was just using a pair of chopsticks I had, since I didn't have any actual supplies other than the yarn. Everything I made, despite all my best efforts, ended up really really tight by the end.Yes that is the correct word lol
And I could probably guess that 8 times out of 10 the problem with most crochet project's is a miscounted row!
It can literally make or break a project, especially if your following someone else's pattern, and the extra 2 issues are the tension being to tight or too loose and yarn vs hook size being too different.
Pattern
I don't remember exactly what I did too the letter but i can guesstimate a pattern for you lol
I started with a 4/E USA size Susan Bates style crochet hook and what I believe was a size 4 medium cotton yarn (no label, so I'm guessing)
Row 1 magic circle 6 sc close ring with slip stitch,
Row 2, chain 2, sc increase in every chain from hook slip stitch into top of the chain 2,
Row 3 chain 4 skip first 2 stiches and sc into the 3rd stitch from the hook, try on pony (because different g3s have different poses, the pose I used was my favorite, the sunny daze pose) depending on pose your going to be sc ing till you reach the back of the next ear then chaining 4 and skipping 2 to go into the 3rd stitch from the hook, then finishing the row in sc till the first chain 4, make sure your ear holes match up and sit the way ya like and slip stitch into the second chain of the 4,
Row 4 chain 1, not looping through but working in the chains *sc 1, sc increase* repeat from star till end of row
Row 5 sc 2, sc increase, till end of row,
keep increasing incrementally aka 3, increase, row, 4 increase, row, till desired flopyness is achieved.
Sorry if this is confusing it's like 6 am while I'm typing this lol hope this helps
