One time I had to repackage an item, and they wouldn't allow me to use their scissors for safety reasons. I had to stand there like an idiot trying to cut tape WITH A PEN. :mad:
Luckily a nice man standing in line took pity on me and let me borrow his switchblade. :lol:
 
That was a lot of fun sending and receiving. Thank you Bittie for hosting and the ladies I was partnered with. :black_cat::catjava:

Wow...I normally had tape and pen when i go to the PO but was in a hurry and left it on my desk :cussing: anyways, it went priority and they "claim" it will be there in 5 days :prv:

I can *kind* of see the PO's point about safety - they're probably liable if someone goes nuts and starts stabbing people with THEIR scissors. Still, that's a tad farfetched. If you're going for pre-meditated, you're going to have that stuff with you to begin with.

I don't carry scissors with me, although I am considering bringing a pair of nail or kid scissors with me for future trips. Watch them gag when I pull them out to cut tape! Fear my blunt kiddie scissors!

I received a wonderful swapbox from maycrestmom!! The box is wonderful and she spoiled me with everything!!


I'm so sorry guys, but I can't post pics today. I've big problems with my old computer which I always use to load up pictures. That's the reason why I haven't post my teaser pic before,

Just a note for my partner.... I didn't send a lot of candy (we don't have Halloween candy here) because it's still pretty hot here and I didn't want to risk any of the candy melting.:smiley_duck:

So a new question for everyone, what's the best part about a swap? Or maybe I should ask when this is all done. Is it the suspense of who's you'll get, or what you'll get, perhaps? Or is it more the shopping for your partner and then finally reading their reaction to all the stuff you carefully put together for them? We can answer later... it's just a thought.

I missed this way back there but for me the best part about the swaps is partners reaction. I enjoy shopping and packing everything up but knowing that my partner liked what I picked out is certainly my favorite part!


I also didn't send candy (as per my partner's list) and was surprised at the extra room I had in that box to fill with other things. I will probably start to send less candy from now on. Shopping for items instead of candy added a lot of fun to the swap.

Wow! That was faster than expected! I'm glad it got there safe - when you mentioned it was hot there still I started having nightmares of melted candy.
