Thankful in November

Day 7:

Today I am thankful that tech week is starting for our fall dance concert! I'm excited to get in the theatre with my colleagues and students and get the magic of live performance started! (So, if you don't see me around much until next weekend, you now know why....)

Today, I'm thankful that my insurance covered my prescriptions

There's still a battle over them not wanting to cover a $4.00 pill

....but it's $4.00, I'll scrape that change out the cracks of my couch if need be

But that was yesterday, TODAY

I'm thankful for CUSTOMERS!!!!
custom pony customers have come out of the wood work. A new serious long-term customer with lots of seemingly endless requests and interest in my sale stock kept me busy all morning today.

then I had a Birthday date with hubby. Put kids with sitters, and had a date out to be myself, feel like myself, and go crazy after a few hours and need my kids back.

Did some birthday shopping though, beads and rhinestones for customs *3*

Other Birthday gifts I got were leggings, a fox mug, fox socks, a giant Princess Cadence for my custom bait supply, and jewelry from my daughter that she picked out

I'm going to wear it a lot.

Ponies, clothes and custom pony supplies make me happy forever when it comes to gifts *3*

extended family can literally never go wrong when picking out beads. Or ponies.

About time to take medication and go to sleep x____x

Day 10:

I am thankful for the amazing professors in the Dance Department at University of New Mexico who, during my graduate studies, provided such an in-depth education in dance theory and thereby helped prepare me to teach such classes as Dance Criticism to undergrad students in other programs.

I have no idea what day I am on. I am thankful that my family and I finally were able to just talk which was a huge answer to prayer.

Also I am so thankful that I have another holiday with my dad.

I was feeling so sad clearing the trees that died from the drought and tornado. Then I saw that many little new trees are springing up. I'm so grateful for nature's ability to renew and regrow from what appears to be nothing.

We live on a beautiful, beautiful planet.

I must reteach myself to look at the positives and rather brood on the negatives. I've become so jaded and cynical.

Updating thanks for the past couple of days or however long it's been, I lose track x.x

I'm thankful we were asked to cat-sit overnight at relative's house for my daughter to get paid.

Because kitties are nice to snuggle and spoil, aaaaannnd they kinda wrecked the house.
Boy killed a live potted plant, fluffy girl knocked down a huuuge vase upstairs.... lots of cleaning up after x.x

I'm thankful for my recent custom Ice skater Fizzy I finished while cat sitting, she sold almost before I even posted her for sale and my Forest fairy Dancing Butterflies is going with her, they're a good pair that look good together.

I'm thankful for putting tea tree oil in our household shampoo supply while there is a huge headlice outbreak at my kids' school. x.x

My kids are staying lice - free while classmates are being sent home, so this tea tree oil preventative solution seems to be holding true.

And I am SO THANKFUL for that, I tell you what. We don't have to put up with the nightmare of lice in our home.

I am grateful for power tools! Choppity chopping goes so much faster with vroom vrooms. Ima have so much firewood and fence posts!

Day 12:

Thankful for BOGO coffee coupons! Okay, fine. I've already been thankful for coffee. Let's see.... I'm thankful for making a living doing what I love. Teaching the technique, artistry, and theory of dance is truly a privilege and God blesses me every day that He allows me to impact students.

Day 13:

I'm thankful for opening night! Alma College Fall Dance Concert had a successful opening night with 280 sold tickets! That is the most for one dance concert in recent memory! Hooray!

Day 14:

I am thankful that I only live 5 minutes from campus so that when I got a 13 frantic texts asking me to come in for a last-minute prospective student audition, it wasn't a problem.

Day 15:

I am thankful for slow mornings, allowing me to spend time making/having breakfast with my hubby before heading to the theatre for the final performance.

Day 16:

I am thankful for my first dance concert at Alma being so successful. And I am MORE thankful that it is over!

I am thankful we're getting more rain! As long as it doesn't flood, I'll take all we can get.

I'm also thankful for mah sisters. My Amy just called out of the blue because she felt like I might be sad. I wasn't, but it was so sweet for her to be worried I was!

Past 4 days-

Uuuuhhh I CAN'T KEEP TRACK lol

I am for sure thankful for giant cupcake marshmallows and pumpkin marshmallows I bought. Put them in hot chocolate, and tea!

I had sugar cookie sleigh ride tea yesterday with giant cupcake marshmallows floating in it *3*

Then pumpkin spice tea with pumpkin marshmallows in it

Thankful for more customers covering my bills *3*

thankful that my daughter is successful in school. Had parent/teacher conference yesterday and it leads me to believe that my daughter had a bad teacher last year.

Day 18:

I am thankful for growing up in a home filled with music. Anything could spark the start of spontaneous singing in my family. Joyous bursts of song are just part of my heritage and I am so thankful that all I have to do is put on some music to feel close to my family. (Even if they are more than 3000 miles away. Oh, just kidding. Only 2300 miles away....)

Day 19:

I am thankful for a successful movie night last night that we hosted for the dancers in our program. More kids showed up than I thought might and they chose to watch "Chicago" out of the stack of movies we supplied. It as nice to see them relaxing together and enjoying the movie.

I'm grateful when a someone shares something with me. Today a guy on one of my other forums out of the blue PMed me with a song he thought I might like. It was thoughtful of him and I do quite like the song. Additionally we're chatting now and maybe I'll make a new friend!

Past 2 days.... I'm thankful for good vibes, family quality time, more customers, and running into our new maintenance manager to get more work done on our place.

I'm also thankful for cookies and Markiplier nights *3*
