Ok so… I am trying to piece together a my little pony collection starting with the ponies I had as a child. I had kept my beloved ponies through high school and a friend of one got ahold of them and gave them away without my permission *cries* (it wasn't done maliciously just bizarre circumstance) I try not to dwell on the fact I lost the ones I spent my childhood with… anyhoo… sooo I have been looking for a summer wings and FINALLY identified her name (I remembered she looked down was blue with yellow hair). I believe the one I am looking for is Blue Bird? Trying to figure out if I'm right and how much the market price is?

I'm not looking for a minty collection just something happy to sit on my desk.

Thanks guys in advance!

Hello and welcome to the TP! :)

The blue Summer Wing pony with yellow hair is called Buzzer, I think, assuming you mean a G1 pony? I recently got one of my own who I had to replace the hair on, but mine looks like this (please keep in mind that I rehaired her, and made it super long - the original doesn't have hair this length!) Rehaired Buzzer.

But as you said your one looks down, I'm wondering if you mean the Windy Wing pony called Whirly? She's a paler blue but also has yellow hair and looks down. They're just like the Summer Wing ponies in size and have the same type of fixed wings. :) This pony?

I'm no good on price checks unfortunately as I don't have enough real experience, but you can look on Ebay's past listings to see what she went for recently? :) I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be able to help you with a price!

Another possibility is that she could be glow.... my honeysuckle has the same colored hair. It faded and turned yellow....maybe that happened to her?

Ooh that is a good possibility too... my Glow has white hair (formerly light pink) and I know it can turn yellow-ish before it goes white! (Poor Yum Yum is like that.) Glow's definitely the right pose and body colour as well. Link to Glow on MLW.

Whirly has a sun symbol with three birds, so it sounds like a good possibility for a blue bird pony, but hopefully SparkleFrost will recognise her pony either way!

She was a windy wing and yes it is whirly!!! Thanks so much guys! I'm so excited about getting my old ponies back. This was such a HUGE part of my childhood. Between us I still think mlp is the best thing since sliced bread.
