Hello! I'm Star Sauce! I'm 21 and I've been a childhood fan of My Little Pony. I grew up with the third generation but dropped it when the fourth generation was introduced. My childhood friends encouraged me to watch it, though and I loved it into my late teens (while the friends who introduced me to it fell out of it lol) Now I've gone back to my roots in collecting g3 ponies, but I take a lot of interest in g1's and g2's as well! I'd say my favorite has always been Butterscotch, but I think my first pony was Hidden Treasure, so she holds a special place in my heart too. :) I'm a university student far far away from home, so much of my collection is overseas, but I still have a dedicated, ever-growing pony shelf! Really looking forward to meeting some pony-loving friends and becoming more involved in the collecting/trade community! :)

Maybe half(?) of my pony collection! Mostly g3's and g1 reproductions, but there's the g1 in the middle and I think(?) a fakie plush on the right. I just received the Blushie, Comet Tail, Silver Rain, and Star Flight this week and haven't had time to clean them up so their hair is a little crazy, but I was too excited to display them so there they are in the front row haha! :)

I am glad you hear you are pursuing your degree and that sounds exciting to be studying abroad!
I hope you can work on filling up your pony shelf even more and you are sure to make plenty of friends here at the post! Welcome! <3
 
What a great collection! :hearteyes: Silver Rain is one of my favorite ponies. Nice to meet you, Star Sauce! I'm in college too, but I live at home. I think if I didn't though, I would also have a pony shelf in my dorm. Is that your OC/ponysona in your profile picture? :star:

Hi! Thank you very much! Nice to meet you too! Can I ask what you study? Yeah, I suppose she is haha! I had a g4 ponysona when I was younger but kind of scrapped her. I wanted a pony-sounding name for my username here and figured I oughta have a pony to go with it lol- I'm hoping to commission an artist sometime for a nicer photo of her, but I was much too excited to create an account to wait so I coloured over a base for the time being lol :lolpony:
 
@Star Sauce I am a business student :) What do you study? And do you know what career or industry you're interested in working in? I think your ponysona has a wonderful design, and if you ever commissioned art of her, I'd love to see!

I'm a journalism student- not quite sure what specialty yet, but I take a lot of interest in geography and history, so a history magazine or documentary set would be a dream! What about you?? <3
 
@Star Sauce That's wonderful!! I don't often see people who are journalism students, and it never occurred to me that something like a history magazine or document set would be journalism. But that makes sense!! Both sound like super fun projects to work on. Business is kind of broad in terms of future careers, but because I'm a toy collector it would be fun to work for a toy company on the business side- like distribution or supply chain management, which is cooler to me than it sounds written down :rofl:

Oh that would be so much fun!! Would you ever consider like toy design? Oooo or I reckon you could do marketing/advertising too that would be really cool!!

I thought about it, but I'm not much of an artist. And getting a toy design degree (especially as I am already 2 years into a different degree) is kind of expensive for my budget o_O LOL but I really respect designers! So it would be nice to have a job that supports their work. Marketing is one way to do that! :)
