It was a Sparta-rific week this week what with my DH order arriving Tuesday, so come Thursday I had 2 and a half Spartas to rehair from various international themes! Weeeeee!
So first up the Greek Sparta "Arcadia":
Cannibal was the grand prize winner of my “Design a Greek Sparta Contestâ€, and this is the design she created. I’ve named her Arcadia (a city close to Sparta-blame watching 300 ^^; ), and yes, since the Greek Glorys are male, Arcadia is female ^^
She was given a FBR in a bright green; her symbol is a falling silver star with orange tails and is fully sealed. She was rehaired with DH Firebird (I LOVE this orange XD) and Sour Apple Martini. She’s a lot less green than her baby imo; I think it’s cause she only has a green stripe in her mane. Oh and she was a spotty Windy.
My Greek Glory family is nearly complete; I just need to make a Walking posed Blue and then it’s done…probably…should I have a walking posed Arcadia too? Hm…
Next is the Argie Sparta:
This boy has been a WIP since May; I ran out of DH After Midnight so he sat half bald for months until I finally ordered more ^^;
So technicals: He was a Moonstone, rehaired with DH After Midnight, paint is acrylic and sealed.
My Argie Glory family is now complete.
And last but not least my custom Argie/Greek hybrid "family"'s Sparta, Spencer:
This was another design from my contest (by MonsterIceCrem, thankyou!) and I absolutely loved it, it was really my favorite one, but it wasn’t really “Greek†enough for me. I did notice that the blue-purely ness of him would go well with Kylie, so I decided to make him to go with her. I named him Spencer because it’s a “regular name†like Kylie, and it was close to Sparta (I actually near named him “Numa†cause of the Numa Numa song XD;; )
So he was a Moondancer. Given a FBR in a custom blended purply-blue; symbol is a falling purpley-magenta star. He was rehaired in DH Snowflake and Forget me not. Snowflake is a really soft-texture wise-color, though it reminds me of shrink wrap because in the right light it changes to the purple color that shrink wrap will if left in the sun. But it’s a very vibrant white, I’m glad I used it on him, but I will be sticking to Virgin Snow as my standard white color I think.
I haven’t decided yet if I want to make a Baby Spencer or not…DG babys are sorta few and far between for me atm…
So yes, lots and lots of rehairing, but it was a fun way to spend a day. watching horror flicks and rehairing ponys with a roast beef sandwich. funfunfun. while getting paid to do it too!! :lol:
