All this reading about everyone's ponies started me thinking about my very first pony. It was Posey, I got her at Toyworld in little Westport here in New Zealand on a family trip
:ponylove:

Do you all remember your first pony too and when you got them?
I'd love to know please

I'm not 100 percent but I think one of my earliest was Windy

I remember having Windy when I was little, but the first one I remember sleeping with and not putting down was Tootsie. My all time favorite was Bubbles, but I never had him as a child. I wanted him and Seashell so badly! LOL :)

Based on photos, I think my first was probably Starshine! That, or she was my favorite when I was really young since she can be seen in a few pictures. I also had Posey, Bowtie, Cherries Jubilee, and Firefly! Could have been any of them!

I do have a plush Windy that I LOVED. I have a great picture of me riding one of those rocking horse things with my hair flying as I clutch Windy. I don't know what happened to her along the way but I cried when I found another one when I started collecting. I'm a big softie!

SS Buttons! We were at an outlet mall with Mom and I chose Buttons and my brother chose Wind Whistler. I still have them, though I have upgraded for display purposes. Buttons was always the leader when I played so she went on a million adventures, and she looks like it too!

Apparently mine was SS Shady. My mom and I looked at g1 ponies a few weeks ago and she pointed out which ones I had as a kid. (I was more into Barbies--If I had a time machine...) She says she remembers because the only way she could get me to go on escalators as a kid (I have cerebral palsy and still find them terrifying as an adult--gimme an elevator!) was to give me a "reward". When we went to the toy section and found the ponies, I immediately gravitated to Shady. (Pink with bright yellow-green hair? Yeah, that sounds like something I'd pick.) Apparently my dad actually asked me, "You want that one?" and I carried Shady around a lot, with it becoming a running joke that if my parents were looking for me all they had to do was find the pony.

My first pony was Pinkie pie from G3. I think I was in about 1st grade when I won her in some sort of raffle and I have no idea what happened to her. It was the only pony I had until I was re introduced to ponies with G4.

I'm never quite sure. My memory is odd, I memorize blocks of texts and can recall them years later, but I can forget what I need to get from another room in the course of a few minutes.

Bowtie maybe, or Seashell? Anyhoo. Minty was my first and best fave, if that counts for anything. MINTY!

My very first pony was Curly Locks, but I didn't get her when I was a child. I was too afraid to ask mom for ponies when we were in the toy store buying CPK's. Somehow I just knew she would give me grief over the idea. I remember admiring them on the store shelves though. I did sneak a SSC doll in the house when I was young.

I have more than one Pony who looks like they are a Veteran of a 1000 Psychic Wars.

And they are. My Ponies are BUFF

I can't quite remember. The photos of me and my ponies that I have from when I was really young include Sparkle Baby Gusty and Sparkle Baby Firefly. I love the Sparkle Babies!

YES! Because me and mah Ponies RAWK IT HARD!!!

Plus holy blue blazes isn't Heavy Metal an awesome film?

I believe it was Cotton Candy. Yeah I know that proves how old I am. I was super happy when the ponies first came out. I still remember it as a sweet memory. I also remember later getting a cotton candy plushie softie. I still have yet to buy one. I never get around to things like this its my fault. My mother bought Cotton Candy or at least thats what I believe.

When I finally started to set up my Pony Room Buttons was the first pony I put on the shelves. I took a picture of her standing alone and she looks so out of place on the clean shelves with her missing flocking, red nail polish (I had the Perfume Palace and Buttons volunteered to go first), and wild hair, lol!
