So how many complete G1 sets do you own?

Well I was busy cleaning and dusting my bedroom today.

I came to the pony shelf, and started to clean and dust everything, includinh the 400 odd ponies :S

As I was doing this I started to have a look at how many G1 pony sets I'd completed.

Running from the original earthlings like Tootsie and Posey to some international sets like the Sweetie Babies.

In total I found out that I have 47 COMPLETE G1 SETS!!

I was amazed.

Also like I said I have 400 odd ponies, and I've worked out that I need about 200 G1s (not including variants) to complete all the G1s, CRAZY!!

So roughly how many G1 sets do you have completed?
 
sadly i only have 7, mainly because i am missing either just 1 or at least 2 or 3 to finish a set. that sucks, i know. i want my incomplete sets, complete. you're lucky to have so many.

That can be the most frustrating part of collecting when you just need that ONE pony to complete a set and of course it's normally Mimic or Diamond Dreams, Red Roses or somebody equally tricky to find. It took me 12 months to find a Sweet Lily to complete my Perfume Puffs and it nearly had me around the twist I'm a shocking set completionist. I even have spaces on my pony shelves to slot in the ponies that I'm missing ^-^

I've just called up my checklists and according to them I have 39 US release normal sets and then the set of mommy charms and all the Megan/Molly/sundance combinations but I'm not sure if they count as sets or not? And then another 5 MO sets. Oh my I had Noooooooooooooooo idea I had that many :hide:

Heavyhooves your collection sounds very similar in size to mine :clap:
 
My collection is huge, and ever growing!!:)

Princess Locket I do the same thing, well try to I leave spaces ready for ponies when they come.

The sets that I have recently completed are:

Candy Cane
Merry Go Rounds
Sparkle
Sweet Berry
UK Great hair ponies (yeah I know there's only 2 of them :p)
UK School Time ponies
Rainbow Curls

I've become a little obsessed with completing sets, last year it was getting oober rare ponies, and now it's completing sets.

Trouble is I'm rapidly running out of room for my ponies, but is that going to stop me, NOPE:)
 
I think I have about 14 completed sets out of 210 ponies. There are only three other sets I plan on completing - Perfume Puffs (Red Roses and Daisy Sweet), Windy Wing (Moonjumper and Whirly) and Mountain Boys (Fireball and Ice Crystal).

I simply don't have the room to be chasing set completers. Ice Crystal will undoubtably be the hardest to find, simply because I refuse to pay £50 plus for a pony! I'm sure I'll find him eventually though. :)

I have complete set with Gusty, Surprise etc, first set of Flutters, Rockin' Beat, 1st set of princesses, and 1st set of twinkle eyes:)
Now my goal is to have all ponies that were made in Gusty's pose!! :D

I have most of years 1-8 complete. Not to brag. There are a few exceptions like the pretty 'n pearly seaponies, and the htf big brothers. But most of the others I have...I'll have to do a checklist some time!
 
Complete sets? lol very few! I'm more interested in adding more yellow ponies to my herd but every so often I'll add a different color or two to the herd
Off the top of my head? SS, merry go round, ww/sw (including the alitas), mountain boys, big brothers, mermaid babies, uhh not sure what else
 
Hmm...I'm not exacly sure. I would say I am in the 5-10 complete set range. I have most of the earliest sets. It would be fun to see exactly how many sets I have.
 
I don't have that many - there are only a few that I'm particularly keen on completing, that being the rainbows Yr1 & Yr2, Rainbow Curls, MB and w. wings. They take priority :3 So far I have Yr1 earths, Yr2 Unis and pegs, s. wings, Baby Rainbows and Big Brothers partially (have the guys, just not the accessories ;) )
 
Last time I checked I had 44 complete sets, G1s only. Maybe a few more now :)
 
I think i have about 39 complete sets and lots of "almost complete" xD
 
I don't know for sure. About 7 I think- I have been collecting (this time around) for less than a year, so haven't really been considering sets, just buying ponies that I like frantically!!!

I never think about completing sets, more just about which specific ponies I want. I think it shows :lol:

I was never out to get all the ponies ever made. Just the few that I really like.
 
I have 2., The rainbow babies, and the summer wings. all i need is the cow jumper one for my windy wings. >.<
