MLPTP EVENT Show off your MLPTP Posty pony!

A really big thank you to MustBeJewel and everyone else involved in Posty’s creation! I especially love Marco’s artwork. My Posty arrived today, and brought a much-needed smile. I’ve been lurking here but very quiet for a really long time. Pandemic had its challenges keeping two, 89 year-old parents safe, but the last year has been very hard. I lost my kitty, my horse, our pet duck, three friends and then at the end of July, my mother passed away too (now 91). My mother and I have shared the ponies and many adventures with other collectors since they began- and so as my 49th year draws to a close, Posty #49 marks both the end of one chapter and start of a new one.

hmmm .... mine must be wanting to have some adventures before arrival but yes certainly I will be posting when she's here :)

She did need a little hair tidy upon arrival but that's been my typical experience with the HQG1C. And FYI, if any of you guys notice it on yours but mine had some smudges on the body (not sure if it's from something in the bag but they came right off with a little magic eraser wipe).
I also ended up using a magic eraser to remove smudges that looked like dirt. I think this maybe happened in casting? Post office also had a field day with the bubble mailer here.

Nice photos Gingerbread! Yeah, I noticed the smuges too. They seemed like little flecks of clear glue. Luckily, they came right off!
Good to know these come off too, I didn’t try to remove them after taking off the darker spots since there were so many.

I felt like Posty was undergoing surgery. She was actually pretty funny looking all wrapped up in towels (trying to avoid getting the magic eraser elsewhere). I used the rubber band to position the hair more towards the middle and attached it to the other back leg while I was working. I was going to take a picture, but then just ending up just wanting to finish up. Biggest smudge on nose took a while (picture is after trying with paper towel and water first, but only got lighter). Line on ear was not hard. There were some other dirt like looking smudges (mostly on the head and behind the ears), but I was able to get them all off. I was too afraid to use the eraser on some of the spotting by the eye, so I just lightened it with water and a q-tip. Looks pretty normal now.

Small black spots will only lighten (end of mouth area example, picture is after using wet paper towel first), hopefully that saves people trying to remove them some time. They seem to be part of the mold. Not that noticeable, have a few.

My Posty all fixed up on the display shelf, might not be the final spot. I really like the pose on this one! :redheart: It’s so cool!

Ooh, Vheylee I like to find significance in numbers and yours was easy! We know what your Posty's theme song is! "I don't know about you, but I'm feelin' 22~"

I just like 2s and 4s :), but my birthday :cake: is coming up very soon and that song was written for her birthday so surprisingly close.

Beach waves didn't work out as well as hoped. May try again or do something different. Not sure yet. Either way, Posty is GORGEOUS. Love her colors. :purpleheart: She's fabulous in person.

My Posty is here! This is the first time I order a pony from abroad and she's also my first G1 in this pose. She's so nice, I'm really happy I've added her to my collection!

Her left eye is a bit smudged, but luckily it's nothing I can't fix. I will make more photos when I'll style her hair.
Thank you, @MustBeJewel !

Mine arrived while we were away in Texas, and even though we had a hold on the mail it somehow was sitting at the doorstep for about a week. Thankfully we don’t live in an area where we have porch pirates, just due to how our front is set up. Mostly the bigger issue we have is non-regular delivery people not understanding the building set up and we have to go on a Quest find our packages or bring a wrongly placed one in our foyer to the right one. XD

I was too excited to wait, so I took her out to take a picture with my TP T-shirt that I got at a raffle years ago. Pretty sure the pictures on it were from Spoosh (may he be well wherever he be, was always pretty cool).

I also had a smudge or two, it’s just the way the vinyl is these days. But because of that, some of the marks aren’t likely to stain and wipe off very easily I’ve found.

The number holds no real significance, and it was just the one we got with the luck of the draw. I love her. I also like that many of us still struggle with tying the bows. XD

I was really excited to see #24 was still available when I went to order mine <3 It's my favorite number!

The two Postys are ready to get into trouble together :winkpony: I finally got my own pony room a month ago (well, I finally moved out into my own place, but obviously the pony room is the most important part!) and it's been crazy trying to get it set up along with the rest of the place, so here they are on the floor of it until their shelf is ready.
