I love customs! I honestly didn't for a really long time, but that's changed and I have acquired some great stuff by many different pony people!

I'm going to be honest... After I started collecting customs, I lost interest in Hasbro ponies. XD I absolutely love doing swaps -- all of my ponies came from some sort of swap.

I don't own any customs yet! I have just gotten to where I am eligible for custom swaps, so I will have at least my custom blind bag for Skeen's swap.

I love your Beast pony! Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney movie.

so YOU are the one with woosie's merry go rounds!! I have her bubbles = guess I am in line after todless to want to inherit those girls ;-)

and I so loved that where's my mommy swap = one of the best ideas (love making families in my own herd) !

geesh... i need to gather all mine up for a glam photo shoot - my customs are generally paired off and mixed in as familiy members all over

Sprinkles- Love 'em! I know what you mean about losing interest in Hasbro ponies. Custom ponies allow for SOOO many things that Hasbro can't do! I like that rainbow Firefly?, the McD pony with an octupus, yellow G3 the Bubbles and pearly Moondancer rehairs... so much awesome!


Melissa- I think you'll get hooked on customs and customizing! It's so much fun and you will really be able to tell how much you are improving with even just a little practice.


todless- post pics! I bet you have some sea pony customs, am I right?


maycrestmom- Yup! I'm the 2nd or 3rd owner of one of Woosie's original MGR sets! My mom and I agonized over the eBay auction because customs were still pretty new, I wasn't collecting them (at the time ) and it was fairly expensive for "non-hasbro" ponies. Now I know I got them for an amazing price and I am thrilled!

skig- OMG. You have tons of customs! Wow- love your persona by mlpgal, paint splatter, the halloween ones, the McD Up Up and Away (that's one of the best McDs I've ever seen!), Starfall... I could go on and on. I think I've found a few artists that I must have customs from!

I think this year's fair display may sum it up best for me, lol! It contains my latest creations only from this year, up to August (the time of the fair) and the bottom shelf I displayed my collection from other custom artists.

It meant so much to me to be able to display all of those creations at a fair. Instead of just promoting myself, I got some artists' names out there and I felt that was far more worthwhile than hoarding their wonderful works and having them collect dust in just my home... they all came home undamaged, and a lot of people stopped me to talk about the artists wonderful customs as I walked into the hobby hall to collect the display.

I love all of the pretty customs! This is such an awesome thread!!! I only have one right now that I made and am in the process of making another one. I've got others planned, and a Lucille Ball one is in the process of being made for me by Must Be Jewel for a friend of mine. This is orange warrior, a former bait G3 I got in a bait lot on ebay:

And she was made in memory of my friend, who passed away from leukemia last year:

This is Orange Warrior's permanent home on my desk, although she is coming with me to the Light The Night walk this weekend. :angel:
