Season 2 FIM on Sept 17th (with new intro!)

Hey guys, the next season of MLP FIM is right around the corner! It begins on September 17th, less than a month away! YAY!!!

The music director for FIM, David Ingram, previously talked about possibly doing a remastered intro theme for the show . . . It sounds like he did, look at this Twitter post:

I was wondering whether or not they'd use different clips for the intro and have the same theme song but I guess it might be the other way around. It'll be interesting to see what the new theme is like.
 
I am looking forward to the new season for everything this year..yea TV is coming back again. I hope this season of FIM is super great.
 
Wow... I hope they have Derpy in the new theme, that would be awesome!
 
That's cool! New theme song might means that a lot of changes will happen!

I'm watching an episode a day until the premiere, today is Applebuck Season!

I've seen it mentioned here and there, but it's still exciting enough to post about :D all new theme song, too! And Derpy has some lines <333

Okay, now that is weird. I posted a while ago about how I made a Chinese Star (cootie catcher, etc..) with pony destinies in it and all of them came true. So I decided to see if I had phycic powers to control what happens in MLP, and made another one. And guess what one of the destinies was? Derpy will have a line. WEIRD...

...OR "Derpy" is just THAT popular that it would be crazy not to give her a line ;)

Exciting none the less... for when it finally makes it to Australian TV!
 
They'd better give Dr Whooves more lines too! I imagine I'll have to wait a bit longer being in the UK, maybe I'll be able to see them on youtube or something?
 
I know this is going to sound really weird to you all, but I'm kind of unhappy that it's starting so soon!
I love the show, but I wish it would start in October like last year. I really liked that.

Buy squeeee anyway, because I guess it'll take us into the end of the year at least.

I cannot wait to hear the new theme!

I hope pensivepony on youtube will still be uploading the episodes for us.

Hmm... have I missed the Season 1 DVD release? I know they had 2 eps on DVD at Target Canterlot exclusive set-up, but where's the whole season? I know it's available on iTunes, but I was just wondering about the actual physical DVDs.
 
I have not seen a complete season 1 boxed set yet, but I'm hoping we get one soon!
 
I'm kind of flabbergasted that it's already starting up again... has it really been so long since it started? :D Absolutely CANNOT WAIT, though, especially since it looks like it's gonna be goooood next season!

I miss having my Friday chillaxing with my ponies to wind down from the week, this shall be excellent. <3
 
So what happened with the new theme song? Did it not get approved or something? It doesn't appear to have been used for FiM Season 2.

I know! I was so disappointed that there wasn't a new song or new animation in the intro. Maybe they are going to do it later even though that doesn't make much sense.

According to his more recent Twitter reply, which was posted via link on MLP Arena, he said it was the old song that got remastered.

The new intro and theme will start with episode 3. The first two episodes were apparently supposed to be the last two episodes of season 1, but were moved to season 2 instead, which is why they still have the season 1 opening.
