i am new to this, so i have a couple of questions.. i hope someone here can help me answer them:p
will the rerooting tool technique work for mlps? or would you recomend using needle and threading it?
is it enough to buy one pack of hair from dollyhair.com for one pony, or do i need more?
would you recomend rerooting before or after painting eyes and symbols?

Yes, the tool works for ponies. Dollyhair just introduced an improved metal reroot tool, actually, or you can make your own from a dowel rod and tapestry needle.

One skein of (nylon) hair should be enough for one adult pony. I usually order two since I tend to make my ponies' hair very long.

Paint and seal first, let it dry completely, then reroot. You don't want to chance getting paint in your custom's hair.

The ones offered on Dollyhair are now made of metal. The only problem I have is that you loose the option of having it dual tipped. I just insert the needle into the hole ahead of time, then remove it when I go to insert the hair. She gives you two extra needles as well, which is really nice. Have fun customizing!

sound complicated. but also fun at the same time:p do you have a pic of the tool? sounds like ill have to get one later on
 
thak you for pics:D the tool looks really pro. especially since you can screw it appart. but thats probably just me since i am a noob at this:p
i cant wait to get my tool and hair and start working.
