reroot kit now available

i'm a little curious about the description on the kit... when you refer to the "tool" that just pushes the hair through the plug, are you referring to ladydaydreamer's rerooting tool? because she uses that on her own customs, several of which i've bought, and i've never had any hair come out while brushing.

Hi, no, no, I was referring to a tool for barbie dolls not my little ponies, I've been dealing with barbie primarily and I'm branching out now into other areas, my little pony for example, and I have to update the website to reflect that. I've never used a rerooting tool for my little ponies, I didn't even know it existed to be honest, so please understand I meant no harm and wasn't trying to bash her tool in any way :)

re

I LOVE ladydaydreamer's rerooting tool! I use it on ALL my G1 customs & reroots, and most of my G3's (unless the plugs are too close. in that case I just split the scalp  ). I've never had any luck with any of the other methods of rehairing.

I am stepping out on a limb here but is it just me or has she done nothing but promote her site in all her post...

And by the way the "tool" you are refering too is almost exactly the tool I make and sell and I have to say I have not had trouble with my tool and I have rehaired goodness knows maybe over 60 ponies and two barbies with these tools.. If you know what you are doing with the tool you can rehair a barbie without ripping the head. Have you yourself tried a tool or are you just going on what others have said? Or are you just putting this out there to promote your needle and thread method (your $5 kit). So in short if you are refering to the Barbie tool that is sold in a around about way you are talking about the tool i make as well...

I hate to come off like this but have you even gone to the introductions to even let everyone know you are new or did you just jump in on the chance to promote your site?

Some people like the tool, and some people like the threading method. On this topic the seller made it a point not to name names as far as her competition, so I think arguing about it is a little silly. Everyone is going to have an opinion on what is the best and worst way to rehair ponies, dolls, or whatever, so there is no reason to have something as little as that erupt into flames.

I was not flaming anyone I was merly making statements and letting others know the tools are similar in many ways in fact almost identical to be honest i just offer mine at a rate so more could afford them. I know she does not name names I was responding to other questions in this thred as well. And I was asking why she has not gone to interduce herself if others came in and started to promote like she has been it would be asked of them too. So I just wanted to know.

I didn't mean you were flaming her, I could just see this one going down because I'm paranoid like that. So often when it becomes one member vs. another a topic has to get locked.

You're right, though, we definitely prefer to have intros so we can get to know the person better. I think that would be a good idea, Dollsnhair.

I just had to pop in and say I love love LOVE LDD's tool! It's the best thing I've ever used for rerooting my ponies ^^

Ladydaydreamer,
I am sorry you are offended by my kit's description. I have never used your tool and I cannot say anything good or bad about it. It sounds like the people here like it, so I'm not sure why you are getting mad. The tool doesn't work well on barbies as the hair plugs are closer together and it often tears the scalp. I could see it working fine on mlps as the plugs were further apart. Please don't pick a fight with me, I want to get along with everyone here, I will go and make an introduction, I didn't know you were supposed to, :)

Just be cautious because since people also do the same buisness as you. You aren't the only one as LDD says.

LDD is defending her tool as a respectible way to hair. And you hacked her down imediately. Thus is why she became defensive. Don't walk all over people, get to know them and play your part as you wish then.

Look, I never named her as the person, I was referring to a tool for barbies, and I wrote that long before joining this board. I'm sorry, I apologize, I didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings, can we just drop it? Jeesh...

I just want to drop it, I'm not a confrontational person and would like to just get along with everyone. I realize what I wrote on my site might be a little harsh, but I wrote it before knowing about LDD and her tool. I wasn't trying to bash her in particular. Like I said, I'm sure the tool works great for mlps with the plugs further than on a barbie. anyway, I realize that the description on my site is harsh and I will change it at the next update

Dollsnhair has not been anything but apologetic toward LDD about the description and has not been rude at all in this thread. Please everyone try to do the same as flaming will not be tolerated.

Thank you Tina I was not trying to start a fight with you I was just trying to point out that the one I make is almost exactly itendenticle to the Barbie one being sold for $15  I know it does not cost her that much to produce them.. I have had others say what you say about the tool and ripping barbie heads my thoughts on that is that the needles she is using are not proper size.. And a person doing a barbie really needs some for lack of a better word scrap heads to practice on with the tool.. It's easy to use on ponies. But the times I rehaired the two barbies with it and the mattel kitties I have done I have to take it easy and not have huge plugs. The size of the plugs matter too.

Thank you for offering to tame things down on your site about it now that you are branching out into the pony world too. I have looked over your barbies and think you could be an asset to pony customs as well..

Again thank you..

LDD

YAY!!! I'm so happy we cleared that up, and thank you for your compliments. See you around on the forum :)

I just want to say that I've used both methods (and a few other not mentioned in this thread) and I love them both. LDD for the speed and ease and dollsnhair for when I need that extra bit if strength in the hair. I still use both! It kinda depends on what I feel like at the time and the hair I'm using. Just had to add my two cents.
