Years ago, I remember seeing someone posted a free printable "paper doll" style pony that was meant to be folded to display G1 pony wear on them. I think the purpose was to prevent the colors from bleeding onto the actual pony.

A friend of mine just mentioned she doesn't want to cover up her pony symbol and I wanted to surprise her with one of these. I've done some quick searching but haven't found it yet...

Does anyone know where to find this printable?
TIA

A paper cut out shaped like a pony that was folded to be 3d and the outfit was placed on the paper pony to display the pony wear. This way the pony wear is on display but is not placed on a real pony. Sort of like a dress maker form..
.

I dont recall it being on that site. But it very well could have been.
I just took a quick look on the wayback machine and didn't see an area it might have been located...but my memory isnt the best...

Neither is mine but I do recall what your referring to. I can’t imagine it would be too difficult to make. I could work on a few mock ups if we can narrow it down here. :)

I’ve seen it somewhere, but it feels like ages ago. Sorry. I’ll try looking around a bit when I get a minute.

That would be amazing if you could create one again! From memory it was folded along the back and was just a pony shape...no ink. And was held together near the legs. The feet were free to slip into shoes

The only good ideas I could find are these...
if you can access a 3-D printer, print out black plastic ponies in a pose that works,
buy some baity (but with nice hair and no smell) ponies for the sole purpose of displaying the clothing,
or buy some of the retro basic fun ponies to display clothes on as they aren’t quite as high quality.
I literally searched for four hours. Dream valley is gone. If anyone personally knows the person (Kim) that ran it, you could try to get a hold of her through them. I even opened a Pinterest account... (yup, didn’t have one before) and that was a bust. I found a form for g3 and g4, but nothing for g1. I’m sorry. :( I’m willing to help find some baity ponies or basic fun if you decide to go those routes. I know of a fellow pony person who has a 3-d printer, but, from what I hear, supplies are spendy.

This is coming from someone who has never owned a printer of any sort. $5 is dear to us.

It's still in the Wayback Machine with most of the pictures visible.

That said, I followed Dream Valley from 1997 until Kim took it down, and I don't ever remember anything like this being on the site. I think that were I to try a project like this, I'd use foam display board. Otherwise, I intend to use poorer condition ponies to eventually display my Ponywear, like Tak said.

I found this in a very old post-

Which led me to this-

I don't know if the pattern was ever posted online.

I feel like the post about paper dolls is about the right item. I think i remember the pattern being offered free in a post at one time...but i cant be sure.

But maybe i did only see them at the pony fair...it was certainly a good idea...i knew that when i saw them..lol

Foamboard is a good idea in addition to the baity pony.

But talking money...of course cardstock i already own cut on a cricut like a pony is free vs spending...

Wish we could find the files...if they were ever free. Wonder if her email address is still valid from the old post...

I am thankful for all the help figuring this out.

I’m already working on a cutting file for one. Just need to complete and do a test cut and test an outfit on it. ;)
