sorry for being "childish" after being copied!
 
i don't remember what the character looks like exactly, but that's some really impressive sculpting work! too bad about someone copying her. did they copy it after you put up pics or did they just happen to have the same idea at the same time?

You do realize by bringing that over here you look incredibly childish. Having been the victim of real copying and also been in the same situation with movie characters, someone doing the same movie character as you is really no big deal. It's not your original idea and it was by accident you did them at the same time. Please get over it.

well sorry! I'm removing it - all better now? I am very hurt and angry, and besides I never did show it to the people on this baord. oh well, I guess they can't see it now
 
Show the custom by all means. I just meant bringing the whole big deal about copying when it really wasn't. I like your custom, I think it's a beautiful representation of the character but I'm sorry, someone doing the same movie character is really not copying.
 
even if it's not outright copying, i can still understand how it would sting to put all that work into a custom of that magnitude, only to be overshadowed by someone else who happened to have the same idea at the same time. i'll be honest, if i worked on a custom, and went to post it and saw that someone else did the same thing and theirs was the same quality or better than mine, i wouldn't post mine. because what's the point? everyone's just going to think "well that's nice and all, but we've already seen that done now." it's like you spent all that time on it for nothing, because it's no longer OOAK.
 
Just to put in my two cents, I think both of you did a great job on your customs. Each is different. I do think, though, that the other poster handled the situation more gracefully, and that to me implies that she really did just happen to make it at the same time you did. I think the drama about being "copied" is unnecessary (but understandable).
Anyway, back to point, it is a lovely custom, and should be shown off! :)
