im about to order it from that doll website but its a bit pricey with shipping and all...
just wanted to see what everyoes experience was

when does it work
when does it not work :)
thanks guys!!

Don't use it on anything but white or yellow ponies. It will fade anything blue or purple, and maybe any other color as well. Don't stick it in the sun on a white pony or it will remove the mark and leave a yellow splotch behind.

Does this stuff really work then? How long between removing it from the pony and having the pony in daylight without having to worry about yellow patches appearing? Will it work on leached ink or just surface stains? Not found any yet, going to go and check out shipping to the UK.

Definitely don't use on a purple pony. Or Blue - Even if it seems to work without side effects - months later white patches can appear.. - I got a poor Seashell off of eBay that someone used it on and she looked gorgeous

at first but the a few months later...

Poor Seashell :(

I've had a lookabout online and it seems that the main ingredient that actually does the thing is Benzoyl Peroxide. This is found in acne creams, so I will be going into my chemists in the next couple of days and asking for an own-brand 10% tube and seeing if it works.

Just to see what happened I stick some Clean & Clear on Birthday Pony to see if that did anything (Benzoyl Peroxide is not listed in the ingredients in this) - I may have imagined it but I *think* one of the marks is slightly fainter after I scrubbed the stain with it? I will leave her overnight and see what she looks like tomorrow morning.

Wish i could help Rel, but i am just as curious as you are! Im looking forward to hearing about other people's experiences with it!

SarahLouise: Make sure you DON'T let the acne cream sit on there too long or it will yellow your pony. About fifteen minutes on, leave it sit for a day or two, then try again if there's no progress at first -- patience is key. ;)

If it's yellow just slather it on there -- no ill effects have cropped up with yellow ponies that I know of.

Thanks - I'll bear that in mind. Does the vinyl yellow stright away or after a period of time? I think I left it on there for an hour...
I wiped the other stuff off last night and I think it was just wishful thinking as the marks seemed the same.

I purchased some stuff today so I will have a go with that and let you all know how I got on :)

My first attempt on a white pony I left it on all day, and it was yellow as soon as I scraped the cream off. Other than that, if it's not too warm or in a sunny window, it doesn't seem to happen immediately.

Like others said, the cream does keep working after it's been cleaned off (I hear you on the Seashell, I've done the same thing!), so you may need to play with it a little bit. Fifteen minutes on and one day off to observe seems just about perfect for where I am.

Clean & Clear uses salicylic acid instead of benzoyl peroxide. I don't know if anyone has ever tried that, but I don't think it works the same way as benzoyl peroxide because the peroxide is what fades things, don't think the acid would do the same. Good luck though!

seems to be that its a bit too risky for me
i will stick to my sun fading and learn a lil patience! ha! ;)

Day 2 of the experiment - no yellowing of the pony but no fading of the pen marks either :( I have a fakie somewhere with pen marks all over it, may have a go on that too to see what happens...
