It's possible to make your own tool.
If you can get your hands on a large tapestry needle (in the US Walmart sells them in a pack that costs less than a dollar, you keep the two largest ones and discard the rest)
..and you have a strong cutting tool (something that can cut open the eye of the needle)
..and a pencil with an eraser on the end, you can do it.
Just take the needle, and cut the eye open at an angle, and use some sand paper or nail file and try and sand the prongs sharp. Then stick the needle into the eraser of a pencil. There's your homemade tool!
