Rare ponies - your thoughts?

Yea I limit myself to $30 on a nice pony. I can't really stomach paying more when I have those never ending student loans poking the back of my mind. There are some good deals to be had, and I've learned that it really doesn't hurt to wait. Even when I miss out on one pony, another one comes up eventually. It's the thrill of the hunt!

As for me, my limit is $100 on a pony (or a lot of ponies). It really depends on the rarity of the pony. But then again, I'm mostly a G3 collector (I collect G4s too). I've foun d a couple of rare G3s once(Caribbean Delight and Beach Belle, loose yet together) and got em for $95.To me that's practically a bargain considering how much they usually go for on ebay! :shockpony:

I only collect the more unusual ponies (if I can help it) and customs, with a few exceptions for favorites.

Otherwise I just run out of room. I always hunt for a deal too, because that makes the game of collecting more fun. Taobao has been fun for that purpose for G4s- if only they had been around and accessible for the G1s and G3s. (but then I guess by now I'd really be drowning in ponies)
