Hi there,

I know, it's randomness. :D

But I also know that some people hate restoring old baity ponies. However - I love it, personally. I love that feel of making something old and beat up look new and sparkly again! Especially G1 ponies, because they have been loved and played with over so many countless years. Now they can feel good as brand new!

So, what's your preference? Do you like restoring ponies or do you feel it's more like a chore? (sorry, I couldn't find the poll option... )

Wow, baby Blossom looks better that way I think^^

Restoring old ponies can be fun. I have a sparkle baby Starflower that I rehaired; she now has dark green hair with fuscia tinsel and I think it suits her much better than the yellow :)

Hi there,

I just finished restoring an adult CF Blossom that came in the mail today, myself! She started out all dirty, ratty, and very VERY smoozy. Sooo... to the Pony Parlor! (the upstairs bathroom, lol)

First I scrubbed some of the surface dirt off with toothpaste and then out came the Oxy Clean. Off with that smooze!

So after the cleaning process was done, her hair shampooed and conditioned (and the bathroom cleaned up), she sits proudly at my computer desk with a pink bow adorning her tail! Phew, that was a long sentence. :D

i like to scrub them and get all the dirt and grim off of them. I also like to do my best to defrizz their hair, but thats normally as far as I go to restore them. However, I am rehairing a nice looking Bubbles I aquired for free since she had a buzz cut and was tailess. She now has a tail and a few plugs in her mane, but I havn't gotten very far yet.

Yuixe. Do you take commissions? if so would you be willing to restore a Goldilocks? it is just the main and tail that needs rerooting. i have no money so i'm in no rush or anything. :D

i belive in restoring ponies i would if i had the talent to do so. :(

I love it! I just bought a 62 pony bait lot, all for restoring! And what I cant, use for customs. It means more to buy ratty ones that would just be thrown away, and make them a collector's item again. (not to mention its cheaper)

I suppose I may be able to take a commission, however - I don't have one of those almighty re-rooting tools that I want SO bad (they're to DIE for), and I don't have any spare hair...

So I guess we'll just have to see how that goes. n_n; If I were to use that old wire method, it would probably cost you a fortune, heh. But like I said, I guess we'll just have to play the whole thing by ear. ;)

I LOVE doing this. It's how I got a decent number in my collection: CF Blossom, Tutti Frutti, Majesty, Curly Locks (who doesn't have her long mane anymore but still has her tail!), and Firefly all came to me as god awful baits. Cleaned them all up and they're part of my collection now, except Firefly who went to a friend who loves her.

I even do this to ponies who come to me in decent condition. I just like giving it one last attempt to get off dirty spots or clean up their hair or style it perfectly. One of my friends bought me Caramel Crunch and I had the absolute best time putting her ringlets back in. My friends call me the Pony Humane Society. :)

I enjoy restoring until there are spots i can't get out then I get really annoyed.
