Does anybody know of a website where somebody has collected pictures of all the boxes, cards, and packaging ponies came in?

I collect ponies because I love them, so naturally I let them out of jail whenever they come in a box. However, most of the boxes have such sweet artwork on them that I haven't had the heart to throw them away. I have somewhere between a thousand and two thousand ponies now, and the boxes they came in are taking up a sizable portion of my home.

I like to watch the show Hoarders, then look around my house and say, "I am not a hoarder. I'm a collector. Big difference." Then I look at the giant boxes full of pony packages, and I begin to wonder about myself. I begin to wonder, how many spiders might be living in there? Aside from just the overwhelming size of the pile, the thought of spiders discourages me from going through the boxes.

If I can keep them all on the computer, that won't take any space at all! If somebody else has already done all the work, that'd make it a lot easier for me. Otherwise I have to go through all the boxes and scan everything, and that could take weeks. I just want all the pretty pictures.

I collect all generations without prejudice.

Does anybody else keep their empty pony boxes or pictures from them?

I keep boxes too! But I don't keep double up boxes and I really limit it to the prettiest packaging I cannot bear to let go!
I dont know of any websites or anything to help you though sadly :sadpony:
I hope someone can help you!

I've been trying to find a site like this myself, because I miss the old G1 and G2 artwork terribly. I remember that when I was little, the brochures and pamphlets from my G1 ponies were as loved as the ponies themselves, and I think I still had the backcards from my G2s before everything got lost in the move. G2 artwork is especially difficult to find online.

I have my G4s still in their boxes, but I plan on freeing a lot of them after I have everything I plan on buying mint, so that I can take photos of the entire collection like that first. I still haven't decided if I'll keep the boxes or backcards from them after that. The art isn't as pretty as older gens, but they do look nice in their boxes, and having the option to put them back in for storage is tempting. But I live in a tiny flat (together with my hoarder mother) and there isn't anywhere to put them afterwards... I'd likely have to just cut them into separate backcards and cardboard strips, put those in a box or a file, and just toss the plastic.

That's only after I finally have a place to display them, of course.

I know what you mean about the packaging. I keep it all too and it sort of makes me feel like I shouldn't unbox anyway if I'm left with boxes full of cards and boxes anyway. :)

There are a few sites that have scans. G2 and G3.5 might be the most difficult generations for packaging and insert images out there.

My little wiki has images from all the generations.

Hope that helps.

Wooooooooow, thanks! I knew I'd seen it somewhere online, but I couldn't come up with the right words to search for it somehow. That's awesome! I hope Wiki never dies. Obviously none of them have them all, but collecting them all would probably be a monumental undertaking even for a giant company with massive monetary resources devoted to the task.
