Question: Big Brother Pony Condition

Today I got my first Big Brother pony! I love him absolutely to pieces. However, I noticed that he is a LOT harder than my other ponies. He has a little give, but not much. Now I know that other ponies get hard with age, but due to this being my first big brother I wanted to make sure that it wasn't normal. For all I know they're made with harder plastic to start.
 
I just got my first Big Brother pony recently too. I found Tex with his original hat at a toy flea market. Congrats on your first B.B pony.

Mine has a harder body than other ponies too. Im pretty sure that its their mold that makes them hard not age. :)
 
Okay, thanks! I'll keep checking this thread to double-check, but I feel a lot better thinking my newest pony isn't in a rough state!
 
Is it something about putting them in the sun? I noticed one of mine got really hard after I sat it in the sun to bleach out a spot. Coincidence?
 
Gets mind out of gutter on this one to say that I have 4 Big Brothers and they are definitely harder than the regular G1s I have...definitely not a squishy.

LOLLOLOLOL my mind fell right into the gutter after reading what you wrote.
 
My mind is usually not in the gutter but when I read the question about being harder and boy pony, I caught myself giggling at the irony in the hardness of the plastic.:icon_smile_lachuh:

Edited to add...I wonder if Habro did it on purpose?

They might have done it on purpose. I think they were trying to finally market MLP to boys too, and everyone knows that boys tear up toys like nobody's business.

BTW, the hard plastic did make Tex's head easier to get off, I had to clean a bunch of mold out of him. Now that he's on my shelf he seems to be flirting with Posey. ;)

I'm totally making a custom pony that's their baby now. I have a DG fakie that's the same shade of yellow that both of them are. I shall call her "Cactus Flower". :D
