OK, so here's the thing...I really love the pictures I see people posting about that ONE special pony that they collect every variant of. I really want to do that, too. The problem is my all time fave pony is TE Galaxy...and I've never seen any foreign or variant of her. So my next choice would either be TAF Sugarberry or Apple Jack.

Can anyone tell me the different variants of both of these ponies? maybe pictures of a few? It would really help me decide which I'd rather go for, and give me some basics about what I'd be looking for.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanx in advance. :)

With Sugarberry, I know there are Spanish, Argie, and Brazilian variants.

Here's my Brazilian, one of the jewels in my collection. Took me a year to find her, but I love her!

She's just a lovely girl, so pretty! Good look on your decision! :D

I love Galaxy too. She is a beautiful pony and she has a great personality on the show! I have never seen a varient of Galaxy either, so I personally would go for Sugarberry! Beautiful pony Mintys Mommy!

Thank you!! :D

It was Strawberry Fair's Brazilian that inspired me - she showed hers and I fell in love! I had no clue it would take me a year to find this lovely. But worth the wait!

I'd love the Argie as well, but she's eluded me. Someday, I shall have her as well! :)

Galaxy only has 1 variation, the Spanish TE. Very hard to find...and there's not to much different with the usual Galaxy. However, if you picked her, and found the Spanish one, you'd be set!

Applejack has a motherload of variants...I don't think the Arena gallery is even complete at the moment...for sure it's missing Brazilian Applejack, and I believe a Columbian white Applejack. The thing with Applejack is that she has a lot of varients, so you'd have no problem finding some, but trying to get them ALL would be a real challenge.

Sugarberry/Strawberry Fair's got a fair amount of variants, I don't think there are any besides the ones that have already been mentioned. Argentine Sugarberry is a relatively easy find...you shouldn't have too much of a problem finding her. The Brazilian one is pretty rare, but if you're patient, you'll find one...I'm pretty sure a couple pop up every year. The NC/Spanish one, however, is uer difficult to find...she'd be your grail pony if you went for the Sugarberries.

So overall, Galaxy would be a hard but quick one since you only need 1 pony...Applejack is asking for a loooooong road ahead of you, and Sugarberry will require patience and money, but is definitely an achievable goal in a relatively short amount of time.

I'd rank them as such, from easiest to hardest:

1. Galaxy...easy...no telling when the Spanish TE will pop up, so this one could literally be done in an instant!

2. Sugarberry-as mentioned, Brazilian and Spanish are pretty htf...but I think a complete family of Sugarberries could be achieved in just a few years of searching. All depends on whether a Spanish one will show up for not...but I know I've seen 1 here and there, so I think 2-3 years might even do it. Maybe less!

3. Applejack-good luck finding the Spanish piggy pony...egads...and the Columbian white version?? I've never seen either of those 2 for sale...

There are probably more AJ's out there too but im not a fan of HIM (yes AJ is a him :p)

re

i must have that colombian applejack!!! lol.

I thought there was a varient on Galaxy as well. I could be wrong. I may be thinking of Fizzy =/

Most people already answered your question. But lets just say that if you want to collect Sugarberrys insted of Apple Jacks you'll get of a lot easier ;) There are TONS of different Apple Jacks.
I only thought there was a Brazilian Sugarberry. Apperently a few more. Still, no where near the amount of Apple Jacks :p

You want to ask LazyJenny about Applejacks. She has an amazing collection of them.

galaxy

Satin Slipper, I would love to see a pic of your Spanish Galaxy.....
*waits in hope*

Eek! There's a piggy pony AJ?!?!

I can't decide! Haha, I've decided to try for all of them! LOL. I don't care if it takes years. That just makes the search more interesting. I absolutely LOVE the Columbian White AJ, I've been looking for her for awhile, anyway.

Thanks everyone for your help! I'm going to start my search tonight.

heh, AJ would be a hard one to complete! you would have 3 extreemly hard to finds in there, piggy, Columbian and South African. heres all the AJs I can think of:

~ standard US issue
~ US issue curly hair aka long hair
~ UK collector pose
~ UK baby
~ Itilian
~ spanish piggy
~ Brazilian
~ Columbian white
~ South African
and im not shure, but there could be a Mexican, French, non piggy Spanish, no country, Argie', Greek and maybe one from Peru, but Im guessing on those, as Ive never looked into them. maybe someone can correct me?

only varriant AJ I have is the African, here is a not so great shot of it. its not like any other pony Ive seen, its tail is rooted and the head freely turns, the plastic is hard and brittle like celuoid and the eyes are a freeky white, the hair is brittle and thin and its marked "Hong Kong" on its feet even though we know it was not made there. very odd pony.

good luck! i hope this helps. Aj has more varriants than any other pony i can think of. ^_^

*gasps* OMG!! How can you say AJ's a boy?! *dies* If my AJ ever saw this post, not even 3,000 yards of solid cement could stop her from vengeance...

I'd recommend all you peeps collect Sugarberries and not AJs, because the next Columbian AJ to pop up for sale is MINE!! *drools on Columbian AJ*

haha, serously, collecting AJs will make you poor! at least 3 where the number known to exsist is under 10, possably under 5.

Well, I don't think it will make her poor. Almost any pony from years 1-3 will have an expensive variant. But you can always save up to buy that one, and you can still collect the others in your budget.

There's a Spanish Sugarberry

As for Italian Applejack, there is one in the collector's pose in addition to the shy pose.

There's also an Italian AJ/Bluebelle cross - AJ's body colours with Bluebelle's symbol and symbol colour.
