Does anyone know much about the 'factory mistakes' for sale? I found them at the site, but it looks like they just send you a random skein. Can we choose which mistakes we want, or is it like a grab bag?
 
My email said that they are available in all the colors, first come first serve basis. I ordered some, all colors....

All colors are available. I ordered the 3 colors I needed. 1800 skiens an a first come basis.
 
Question

Where are the factory mistakes on the site? I took a look around and couldn't find them. Maybe it's just a special offer for those who spend a lot of money there?

The email I got about it said it was for repeat buyers...I havn't checked the site yet though. Personally I'm a little to wary about what the mistakes might be like, plus I have NO money right now...so I probably wont' be taking advantage of the offer. I'd love to hear what people get though when they order the "factory mistake" skeins.
 
Well, from the add I got in my email it says "Some of the regular format skeins are under weight or slightly imperfect." so I think it's just the ones who are less than the normal amount. Or maybe more than the normal amount?? :lol:
 
I saw this thread, and went to the site to order some. Not realizing that shipping is free. :? So I ended up paying for shipping as well, and FINALLY got the stupid email from Kathy just this morning about the sale! Urgh! I wonder why my email came so gosh darn late!?

*EDIT* Wanted to add, if you read the description of the skeins on the website, it does say that some of them are overweight. So it's like lotto, just don't know what you are getting until it arrives. :wink: Gave me a chance to stock up on a few colors I am running low on at the moment anyhow. :D
 
well I ordered over 40 skeins, got them today, and compared them to the others i had and there is nothing different! I did notice one or two had blended colors off a little, like the "Ruby Slippers" were a little darker(prettier). But the normal colors were exactly the same! Weight, i couldnt tell!!!!So its worth it in my book, well has to be i just ordered some more!!!!

Finally got my email today for the hair offer - it apparently went to my hubby's email box and he hadn't bothered to forward it on to me :roll: Ordered a few to stock up on the colors I'm out of although I'm leaning towards trying some of the nylon hair from the other place once she gets some more pony colors in so didn't go too wild. Very nice price though and free shipping - just couldn't resist. :D
 
I just thought I should post this in case anyone else is deciding to buy any of the seconds from them...

My hair came yesterday, and it's all normal looking, and fine. :wink: I ordered 4 colors. Two of them are underweight, and the other two are overweight...so I guess Kathy tries to make it "fair" for everyone when they order. (that you don't get ALL underweight skeins.)

I weighed mine too. My first 3 are all overweight. I haven't gotten the second order yet. The brunette was way overweight.
 
A little question, I'm from Mexico and I'm not finding any synthetic hair here, I've seen that almost everybody buy katsilk hair from restoredoll.com, I'd like to know how many skeins are needed to rehair a g1 pony and a g3 pony, so I can figure out how many skeins I should be buying ^-^

I just ordered today, so I'll have to wait and see whether my skeins are going to be nice (I feel pretty confident, since everyone else's was)

As for rehairing a G1 or G3? One skein is generally enough to rehair a G1 or G3 (depending on how thick the plugs are) with normal length hair. Super Long Hair or equivalent you might need to order two skeins. (Don't take this as gospel, but that's what I gather from what everyone else has said when I asked)

Plus, if you order too much? Bag it up, and keep it safe for the next time you need that colour :)
