Perfect for any mane, human and equine alike! These alligator clips feature a charm made with a cast of the World's Smallest My Little Pony toys made by Super Impulse. Currently I'm offering three designs, but I'd like to hear some feedback on what other ponies I should make. (They're all in Collectors Pose, but I'm looking into making ones with wings and horns too!)

You can check it out on etsy here!

ponyception :winkpony: these are adorable! if you make more in other colors/poses i'll definitely keep an eye on them. even if they're g1 clips i still feel they'd be really cute on some of my g3's

I don't know how to go about making other poses, as these are cast from the mold of an existing toy. I could try to carve my own recreation of another pose, but I don't know how well i'd be able to replicate it... but speaking of G3, you know what I could do? If I get my hands on one of those charms that came with early g3 releases, I could definitely cast a mold from it and use the copies in cute accessories.

I have two of these! I got them with my g2 festivities set and have no need for them as I only collect g2. If you will pay shipping I will give them to you!

These are just too cute. If you ever make one of Medley or the G3 shape, I’ll definitely buy one!

I do have a set of g3 charms coming in the mail now courtesy of KitKat— not exactly the same as tiny replica ponies, but I’ll be churning out new molds from them too.

Funny you should mention that!image.jpg
I made a bit of a prototype Bowtie with molded hair made from air dry clay. I don’t know that I’ll keep using this technique, but I do like the idea of using Bowtie. She was produced in the Collectors pose, after all!

I've been working on making g3 charms, but i'm wondering how they should work as accessories. My initial idea was to just put them on hair clips as is, but when you put them on a clip in your hair, it's a little hard to tell what they are. I've got a few different ideas:

A. just put them on clips, just as planned
B. Paint them a just little bit to draw out the details (outlines and such)
C. Paint them in full detail
D. Cut out the rainbow band and paint them in full detail
E. Don't make barrettes out of them, just sell custom charms.

I have some examples of charms from plans A and D under the cut.

That Wysteria looks really good! I'm on board with C or D. Maybe E? Perhaps you can sell them as barrettes and charms?

oh my god??? i love your shop oh man, i'm trying to do this thing where i try and sleep on it before i impulse buy things online but i have a feeling i'm gonna still be set in the morning :') (a cotton candy clip on cotton candy??? i love it!) also as a side note, that worm on a string custom is awesome, i was literally just thinking about the possibilities of semi-cursed custom ponies this morning and i'm happy to see there are people out there doing that!!! :D

Oh thank you so much!! This kind of feedback means a lot. I'd love to do more customs like the worm one, but I feel like I need to have a good idea before I go for it-- if I'm gonna make something semi-cursed, it's because it's something I'm proud of.

oh for sure, that's understandable!! i'm still pretty inexperienced with ponies but i am an artist so i totally get where you're coming from both with finding inspiration and also giving projects the time they deserve (adhd babey!!) but like yeah seeing that did make my day, it's always great seeing people pushing the boundaries of what you can do with a given medium so like, i'm totally geeking out but yeah i just wanted to say that :lolpony:

i just saw this now and im obsessed personally i would absolutely love some barrettes of these!! i second what starscout said too. if full detail is too much to get a bunch of the barrettes in stock quick you should just stick with a paint job like the g1's- i would still snag some lol. like maybe ponies with simple color schemes like these i just sketched up

autumnskyecharm.png mintycharm.png sparkleworkscharm.png

autumn skye (or i guess g3 moondancer), g3 minty, and sparkleworks as examples. with the eye painted, a simple representation of their symbol and hoof heart like you have with the wysteria one :C

These are ADORABLE. I could see these being a staple for a decora/fairy kei or kidcore wardrobe, or just as something fun and cute to wear. ;v; Can't wait to see what others you make!
