Pony peeves??

Well... I REALLY hate it when people call SYMBOLS from gens OTHER than G4 "Cutie Marks". I don't have any problem with the term Cutie Mark, it just makes me mad when people call a past gen's symbol a "Cutie Mark".

I also hate Zombie art, customs, and fanfics. I also hate gore art, custom and fanfics.
Ughh...I was scarred for a few months after watching "Cupcakes".

Haircuts. Really? Don't list em' if their hair has been cut.

Overpriced ponies, shoes, accessories, ect. 6.00 to ship Spike? I don't think so.

In considerate bronies. I don't have a problem with Bronies who like past gens and respect others opinons, but ones that troll you for liking past gens make me really mad.

Another pony peeve: The ComicCon Derpy Scalpers. I seriously want one, but I don't $200 want one... Wish I had connections at the convention that could have gotten me one. My hubs swears he thinks there's prolly a warehouse full of them somewhere lol!

There are alot of people who like them now which is a bummer. Zombie fans are kinda like the g4 bronies ya know?

I really like zombies but I really don't like zombie fans. That being said I totally can appreciated people not liking them. Everypony is different which is awesome!!

Your hub is probably right!! There is some top secret place where one guy is sitting on and selling one over priced Derpy after another. >.> what a bully!
 
It kind of irks me how a lot of the G4s have artwork based on the main 6 as opposed to Hasbro designing ponies like they used to. I think the overall quality of the ponies now isn't as good as it used to be.
And when people overprice ponies, that suucckkss. :/
Also being in Australia, its harder to acquire a lot of pony stuff, or we have to pay lots in shipping.
 
WOW IT'S SO NICE TO REALIZE I'M NOT ALONE FOR THINKING G3.5 WAS DUMB/UGLY/INSANELY SILLY/WHATEVER

I've been collecting ponies for a while but I'm brand-spankin-new to online collector's forums like this one. The only other collector I know of personally is a very creepy girl I go to school with who is pretty much the definition of "creepy brony" and she looooves 3.5 and seemed perfectly content to put me down for liking my G2s.

Things that irk me are seeing mistreated ponies in Goodwill and such- if I ever saw a little girl holding a mangled pony in public I'd probably start screaming and crying and beating up the parent. In my head. Thankfully that hasn't happened yet.

Shed.mov and the other related videos. They aren't even remotely funny. They're twisted, disturbed and disgusting and whoever thought it was a funny idea to make them should be taken outside and shot.

Gore fics and okay I'm on FurAffinity (there are good artists there just... Lots of creepers, too...) and I am so sick and tired of seeing all the rule 34 everywhere. Just stop. Stop what you are doing and take a look at what you're doing with your life.

G4S LOOK NOTHING LIKE THE PONIES ON THE SHOW THEY CAN'T GET THEIR HAIRSTYLES OR EVEN THEIR PAINTED ON EYES RIGHT WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE. The G4 ponies also more often than not look incredibly idiotic to me and so far Lyra Heartstrings is the only G4 pony I've actually liked as a toy. Also why is the big Princess Celestia pony pink. Why does her hair not match. Hasbro what are you doing. WHAT DID YOU DO TO SHINING ARMOR.

What else... Baby Lickety Split in the MLP movie. Lickety Split y u so annoying.

Not living in the 80's. I wish I could have grown up with the G1s. I only came into this world during the era of the G2s which sadly only lasted for a little while before the G3s popped up, at least here, anyways.

Pony customs made to look after popular characters like Jack Sparrow, Iron Man, etc. Idk those just annoy me. Drawings I could understand but... Idk the customs usually turn out looking stupid, to me. They don't actually belong as ponies, cut that out.

I grew up with G3 ponies mostly so I'm used to the Cutie Mark thing and it doesn't really bug me, I think I switch back and forth between that and "Symbol" SO I'LL TRY NOT TO REFER TO IT AS A CUTIE MARK SO I DON'T ANNOY EVERYBODY OKAY COOL

Hey G4. Where's Kimono. Give me my Kimono, my very first G3 pony. Why has she not appeared yet dang it.

Being scared of fixing up your ponies cause you don't have much experience with it. I can paint (I've had to repaint mannequins before and I've worked on Littlest Pet Shop toys) but popping off ponies' heads and rehairing them makes me nervous. So do oxiclean baths and magic erasers.

Just gotta point out, Hasbro has been calling them "cutie marks" in all media since the beginning of G3, so it bothers me when people call G1 and G2 symbols "cutie marks" and likewise it bothers me when they call G3 and G4 cutie marks "symbols," but I don't have a fit about it. I love all the ponies, so what really bothers me is when people hate on certain generations (or parts of generations). I'm not a fan of the brief show about the Twinkle Wish Adventure ponies as babies/toddlers, but I don't go around calling them dumb and ugly, whether or not I think they are, because I know there are a few people out there who really like them, maybe even love them, and I respect their freedom to love them and accept that there may be qualities in them that I can't see, so I don't want to be hurtful or hateful. Sure I'm sad whenever one of these generations or sub-generations comes to an end, heartlessly terminated by Hasbro in the name of profit. It's like losing my whole family all at once. But while I'm sad when I lose a real family member and I'll usually mourn them and miss them for the rest of my life, I'm still happy when another family member is born.

Rule 34. OO ...JUST WHY?! WHY?! It's just WRONG people! Why must I keep running into this rule with MLP and Transformers (among others... Oo)? It's horrible! Ughhh!

And this both makes me laugh and annoys me, but in the original MLP when the animators turn characters into other characters. Such as one scene, Fizzy will be her normal self, and then the next she has suddenly got wings. Or someone who wasn't in that scene suddenly pops in for a few seconds in the background, or Baby cuddles voice coming out of Cupcakes Mouth...Yeah, that one makes me laugh every time. XD

Pegasister. I don't know, I can live with it, but I still don't like the term.

The way the G3.5 and G4 toys look. Oo Why are they so small and creepy looking? Especially the G3.5's... DEMON SPAWN!

I think my biggest problem with the new FIM is that I can't search in peace for pony pics without coming across naughty FIM pics. I'm getting really tired of it. What the H*** are people thinking?!? it's a little girl's toy for crying out loud. I blame it on all the pony->human anime conversions and so therefore don't like them either.

As for flaws - I don't like smooze, a lot.

Trading Post vs Ebay sales - I started selling on the TP, I sold most of my collection for what I thought was a reasonable price. I figured I'd get the last of it sold on ebay just to get it out of my hair and I made more money selling my leftovers and unwanted items than I did selling my gems out of my collection here. Sorry to say I use ebay, but at double the price, I just can't afford not to.

I also hate it when you send someone a pony and after they receive the item, they complain about flaws that really don't seem to matter to me. Loose neck seams and rattling tail washers are the two that really baffle me. I just want to tell some people "It's not a flaw if you put the pony on a shelft and LET IT SET THERE!" Amazingly, the neck will quit turning and the pony won't make a peep. Really, I know I'm neurotic about some flaws, but I accept the fact I'm neurotic over these flaws and I ask before making the sale final.

I agree with all of you about rule 34. One of my favorite things about MLP of all time is the fact that it takes place in an alternate world free of so many of the things that complicate the real world. I know it's been hinted at since the very beginning in the 80s, but I've always been able to ignore it. But lately, one of my long-time pleasures of googling images of ponies is being tainted with some pretty nasty stuff, and it makes me feel bad that my innocent little pony girls have been portrayed in such a manner. I guess I sorta feel like a mother finding pictures of her daughter being abused. Maybe I'm a little too attached to my ponies, but I can't help it. That's just how I feel.
 
For the record, I LOVE the term Cutie Mark. I think it's adorable and I'm glad it's been given a name so I can stop saying "Butt symbol" lol I will use it forever with love. Sorry ladies.

THIS TOO.^^ They're ponies. NOT anime characters... I like my ponies, and I like my anime, but not together.

The assumption that RD is a lesbian is also an irk of mine. What? A gal can't have rainbow hair/be a tomboy unless she's a lesbian? Even Lauren Faust herself addressed this! :censored: It just seems stereotypical... I dunno...

Oh boy, what a can of worms this question is! In no particular order:

-I really don't like dealers who don't know what they are selling and try to rip people off. A tail-less Cotton Candy that is mangy beyond belief is not rare, nor is she worth 20 bucks. If she was, I'd be a millionaire by now. :p

-I don't care for the bronies much either, unfortunately. I do realize that there are nice ones out there, *tips her hat to the ones here in the community* but in my experience the respectable ones are the exception rather than the rule.

-Children who abuse their toys...I can't leave the mangled G1s behind, even though in most cases they are beyond my restoration powers. Why don't parents teach their kids to respect their things? It makes me sad to think that the ponies weren't worth taking care of when I, as a child, loved them so much.

-Tail rust is one of my most dreaded enemies.

-I also dislike the assumption of sexuality of characters when there is little or no proof to support it. Ugh, I'm kind of canon supporter that way.

-Re-releases of the same pony over and over again.

-People who disrespect G1. G1 started your generation, so please b.s. respectful. I enjoy other gens, so I don't get why people need to fight over it.

-I don't like when people hoard a rare pony. Like when the buy up all of that pony and don't let other collectors have the chance to get one. I think it's entertaining when people collect common ponies (like I know couple who collect Bluebelles or CJs) but when that pony is really rare, it's not the greatest. :( I haven't seen this in a long time, so it makes me happy. Lol

A lot of the other stuff people have mentioned bug me too. But hey, it makes things interesting. :)

And you have to show ID to buy acetone now? Is that just a thing in your state? Here it is pseudoephedrine. Stupid **** labs. With as much as I buy Acetone, Jasco, pseudoephedrine, and receive international packages, I'm probably on some kind of watch list :)

Yes, I just recently found out that Cutie Mark was used since G3s. *facepalm* how could I not notice it?! And, though I hate G3.5, I still respect others' opinions and don't troll them about it. :/

i cant stand the G3.5's either but my 2 year old loves them and every other pony. so when i see them at the flea markets i buy them for her, clean them up and she has new ponies (that mama wont steel) lol.

I do that too, but my 7 year old prefers G3 also, so she tries to take my ponies anyway!
