There it was in my email...the outbid notice on the one auction I've been watching like a hawk and I was the high bidder on for 2 days. Rapunzel. How could she of slipped through my hands? I know this morning when I saw that notice it was her...my dad was going to pay up to 200 for her, but I knew she was going to be found and sky rocket. Congrats to the one who outbid me and won her. Hopefully one day I'll come across her again. Which pony auctions have you been outbid on?

It feels awfull when that happens. But when I do put my highest bid and go to bed I kind of expect to get outbid. It hasn't happend that much strangely though =/
But I know the feeling. Even though I snipe most of the time there are people who are even worse and outbids me in the last like 4 seconds. It feels like the heart sinks down to your feet practicly =(
I can't remember exactly all the auctions I have been outbid on - that is a lot think good cuz' otherwise we would have been living on the streets *LOL* ;)

She is a pricy one though. The last one I saw ended up at $500 :shock: I could never afford that. It's really nice of your father to be willing to pay $200 I must say! =)

But you will come across her again. Don't worry.
And look at it frome the bright side. You are at least not $200+ poorer(sorry - don't know how to bend that) now ;P

guys i feel bad, i'm one of those people that wait till the last second to bid, lolz. so if you're bidding on a foreign pony on any ebay, chances are i have my eyes on that same pony unless i have her already, lolz. so did rapunzel go for more than $500?

My max was 200.00 cause my dad was going to buy her for me, she was 256.00 when the bidding ended.

what! $256, that's a great price for her. whoever won her was lucky. it's really nice that your dad will buy her for $200. I'm sure there will be more of her in the future. if you see her again make sure you're there in the last minute because there are a lot of people who wait in the last minute.
 
I agree - not to make you feel any worse - but that was a great price for her. I wish I could find her too that price one day!
 
Lol, I know, I was watching her for a while, then just decided to bid. At least I got to feel what it's like to be the high bidder on her for 2 days :) I know 200.00 wasn't enough though. I was just happy to be able to bid on her. However, it was a reserve auction, what does that mean?

same here desert rose, lolz. i was expecting $500 +++ which is why i didn't bother watching it.

reserve auction means that if the ending auction price doesn't meet the reserve price set by the seller then the high bidder didn't win the auction. was the reserve price met?
 
Yes it was an excelent price for her. And I do congratulate the one who won :) I wish I could find another one for that price.
 
Me too! I would post the closed auction link...but I deleted it from my email, so I don't know the ebayer name. All I know is that they got a great deal. I'm not too upset about it though, I know there are more out there. I always imagined finding her at a garage sale, what a find that would be? Lol.

yeah i saw it when she relisted it. i'm not really into collecting US g1s but if I was i would've bought her when i saw she was still avail for sale for $400. i think that's a reasonable price for her.
 
I think reserved prices are BS...if I was the one who won her and she relisted it I would be extremely ticked...why don't you just have a BIN in the first place rather than getting people all excited?
 
When there is a reserve and it is not met then they top bidder did not win her. That is how a reserve works, so they probably didn't get their hopes up.
 
oh...that still bites, I'm glad I didn't win her then, only to have her relisted
