So I had to go back to my little antique shop and get more ponies. Lo and behold, in one of the back rooms that I hadn't looked at yet there were a few more ponies. No one I didn't have already but they did have that weird cat and dinosaur thingys which were cute so I bought them. They also had the little takara fakie thing who is adorable. I picked up a very pretty Steamer whose hair is still pink(though it's hard to tell in the piccy)! Now I have a faded one to display and one to hide in a box to keep his hair all pinky. Last but not least a sparkle baby and a MGR!

Is it a real Takara?

Wow Great find! If that is a real Takara you can get quite a bit for it (didn't someone recently sell one for like $100?)...

It was a genuine Takara ADULT pony that went for a few dollars over $100. I'd have given her twice that for it had I known she was selling it :/

No one really knows how to tell the fake from real baby Takaras as there just aren't any for sure real ones in people's collections. I know very recently one person found a baby with Takara on the bottom of it in a lot with 3 other babies that did not have Takara written on the bottom. So maybe that's the way to tell? Either way, I'm on a hunt for Takaras, both real OR fake. Please think of me if you decide to sell your baby.
 
Sorry people, but the baby Takara (fakie or not, it had something imprinted on it's bottom but I can't make it out) is mine! Muhahaha! If fact I'm keeping them all. I think it's fakie cuz it doesn't have moving parts except the head. I thought real one's had arms that moved and what not? OH well, doesn't really matter to me it's still cute. I think I'm going to give him new hair though because his (don't know why but to me it's a him) hair is pretty dry and thin. I haven't decided yet.
 
I can't find anything remotely close to a takara... Except the Bratz ponies.

But Congrats! Those wierd things are COOOL! I'm going pony hunting this saturday... Maybe your luck will rub off on me! (Cause, I seem to have none... Lately, the only things I find are Barbie Horses..)
