Hi

I won an auction on Ebay, and not 100% happy, any opinions, suggestions appreciated.

I took this from my previous post and I won 3 auctions on Ebay, they arrived today.I just got my ponies from her, they came very quickly, they could have been packed alittle better, all in one box, no tissue, except for the bubble wrap on SS Crumpet, I am happy with Crumpet, the Sundae ponies weren't NM-Mint in my view and the Princess ponies weren't NM- Mint Either. ( for the Sundae pones 2 were discolored and 1 was dirty) the princess ponies, I figure NM, would mean no marks, or at least no marks that would distract from display. and there's a 2 marks on the face of the purple one, tiny dots on tiffany and serena and a cut forelock on the blue one. In the auction it says all ponies are NM-mint unless stated. I e-mailed her.

second posy by me

Oops the cut forelock was my mistake, I went back over the auction.

I mean I know part of its my fault, I should have asked more questions and asked for specific pictures I guess, but I figured NM-Mint would be pretty-high quality. Crumpet looks great and the shipping was fast, but am a little disappointed.

I paid 21.50 for 7 Sundae ponies
51.00 for 9 Princess ponies- the 2nd year ones are fabulous, just the marks on the face of the lavender ones, and the orange dots on Tiffany and Serena, cut forelock and some dirt on the blue one, forelock was mentioned in auction.and Crumpet was 47.00 I paid 16.00 for shipping they were mailed in the 7.70 flat rate box with no packing except around Crumpet, with no insurance.

am I too picky?

third post

I e-mailed her and left her 1 positive feedback for Crumpet, but not sure what to do about the other 2, some of it is my own fault right.

Thank you everyone, Pictures were included in the auction, but no close ups.

Let me know what you think and your opinions.

I'd say leave a neutral for the other two. Since you missed some things, that doesn't equal a neg, but since the ponies weren't exactly NM-Mint condition, it was a slight bit of false advertising. Both of you missed a few details, however the ponies have noticable marks, correct? They should have been listed good-excellent/very-good or something. So, I'd leave a neutral and state 'Ponies not in as good of condition as advertised', or something like that.

OMG! She charged you DOUBLE for shipping?! She should give you at least $5 back. I say that because medium-large boxes run about $3 (at Target anyways, that's where I just was). Then again, if it was sent priority the box would be included so you should get an $8 refund.

Question about the marks... have you tried to clean them? I would say if the ponies are "clean-able" then you are being picky but if the marks are permanent then you definitely have a right to be upset.

You should definitely pursue a shipping refund, though.

people expect nm-mint to mean no marks at all. If the marks weren't noted in the auction, and she said nm-mint unless otherwise noted, then it is definately misrepresentation

I agree

Hi

Hi

Thank you everyone, I don't think she is a collector on this board, and I do take responsibility for not asking for more pictures, and more exact description, she apologized and said she did nor realize the one sundae pony had tail rust/red bleeding thru? and the 2 ice cream unicorns heads and bodies were different. I paid 21.50 for the sundae ponies, 3 were good-fair, the rest were VG, I received 7 sundae ponies. Crumpet I am pleased with, I paid 47.00 ( the prices are in an earlier post above) and the princess ponies were 51.00 for 9 the 2nd edition ones are gorgeous, but I am just bummed about Tiffany, Serena, and the blue one with reddish-mane, so I will be upgrading those, and 2-3 of the sundae ponies. Overall I think it was a good deal?? 135.00 which included the 16.00 for shipping ( overpriced ) the seller e-mailed me and said she was sorry about her description, she is in a rush to save her horse and needed the money quickly. She did e-mail me back and was nice and apologized, but didn't offer anything, and I am still happy with the ponies, just not exactly the deal I was hoping for. I did e-mail her about the shipping price and no response and I haven't left her feedback for the other 2 sundae ponies and princess ponies, just waiting to see what she does.

Thank you, Kat

Hi Everyone,

I just ended up leaving her 3 positives, she has perfect feedback, and I don't want to ruin that for her, and she did apologize, next time I will remember to ask more questions, and at least the extra cash I paid for shipping will go to her needy horse. I figure just let it go and enjoy and fix up the ponies I have.

Thank you, Kat

Hi

HI

I guess maybe I am too nice, but I figured since I didn't confirm everything and ask for close-up pictures, she did apologized but offered nothing in return, I am also an animal lover, so just thinking happy thoughts about her horse, and in a way I guess I got a decent deal???, I am still keeping them all and maybe can use some for re-hairing etc, and try to fix them up abit, they are definetly not NM-Mint in my opinion, but its still my opinion, I just assumed as a collector we would kinda share the same "grading" I grade my ponies hareder then what they are and point out everything I possible can and try really hard to be clear and take lots of pictures, so I should have been more specific e-mailing her. I am just trying to enjoy them...

not sure what else to do or say..
